We'll have some inflation - possibly - but how bad could it be compared to defaulting?

Assuming that some deal gets worked out in the next few weeks, I wouldn't think it would cause too much trouble.

Damn but the stupid hurts, doesn't it?  :banghead:

I went to my local Kinkos to print more money to pay my bills.  Things didn't end well.

Odd, it seems like that would be the perfect solution.

Should've used the hi-res color copier, and printed both sides.  Just sayin'.

I never tire of telling the story of my cousin's drop dead gorgeous daughter who got popped for bouncing a check.  Her explanation?  "When you and dad didn't have any money you always wrote a check and got some more cash. "  Apparently she never got the part about having to have money in the check book.   Of course she was able to get out of any serious repercussions with the cutsie innocent look, she was that good looking.  :thatsright:

Now that she has a few more miles on her I suspect she won't be able to get away with quite as much as she use to.   May even have to pay for her own drinks now. :lmao:

Yep. How can I be out of money, there are still checks in my checkbook?

What a hoot.

That's kinda like telling the bank you're not broke, you still have checks.

Reminds me of a Jeff Foxworthy skit.

Car repo man: "Mr. Foxworthy, I'm here to repo your car unless you have 1000 dollars.

Jeff: "1000 dollars, man, I don't have that kinda money on me!"

Repo man: "Well, can't you write a check?"

Jeff: "A check, HELLL yeah I can write you a check! I thought you needed money. I tell ya what, I'm gonna go ahead and pay the whole thing off right now!"

Actually, around 1999, Dean of Bristol University, Chris Berman, addressed a student who said, "Dean Berman, this may be a stupid question--"  To which Dean Berman replied, "There are no stupid questions--just stupid people who ask questions."

We had a teacher that said there were no stupid questions, but some of us would snicker and make the comment about there being stupid people. That was '78 or '79.
