I will not vote for a 3rd party candidate. It might be time to look at that in 016 if we do not get out of the ditch in the next 5 1/2 years. As much as I like Palin, I would not vote for her as a 3rd party candate in 012.

First and foremost, we need to get the marxist out of the White House.  I will vote for a RINO if necessary, never third party.

If I'm still in California and there is a third party candidate that could potentially take the electoral college votes for California away from Obama, I would vote for that candidate.  I would likely vote for whoever the Republican candidate is otherwise.

If I'm not in California come next November (as I'm hoping) I will likely be in a state where my vote for a Republican could actually make a difference, so I would vote for the RINO regardless.

I only answered "unsure" because if a viable conservative runs as a third-party candidate and actually has a chance to win, I would vote for them.  That scenario isn't very likely, but a lot can happen in a year and a half.

If, the big if, a third party candidate were to win, what would you envision as the coalition government that would be necessary to govern.  Republicans and demon_rats singing  :kumbaya: ?  Not likely.  More like both parties with long knives out.  I am thinking Maine had an Independent at one time in the not to distant past, darn if I can remember how the legislature treated him.

It all depends on 'Which RINO' for me, so I went with 'Sit it out.'  I actually would vote for most of the RINOs, but there are a couple for which I just can't say I could really do it.

Now you went and done it.

Be prepared for lectures about how "sitting it out" is the same as a vote for Obama.

I put unsure, because I just don't know.  Too early to tell.  I'll wait till we have candidates to decide.

Just considering that a couple of Supreme Court justices may retire is enough to vote for any RINO over any Demonrat.

There are too many "What-if's"  in this scenario.  What if Perry runs as a republican, and Palin or Cain run as an independent?  It is too early to make that call IMHO.  I am just going to wait and see.

I'll hold my nose and vote RINO. "Third Party" gave us Clintoon.

But what if the third party is a Conservative?

There aren't enough Conservatives to secure the win.   Unless this Conservative appeals to the middle (the middle being independents, and moderate R/D), then forget it -- just hand the keys back to the messiah and call it a day.

I would trade 12 years of The Klintoons for the Bush2 and BHO fiascoes in a heartbeat.

Not likely, however you clearly weren't paying much attention during the Clinton years.

Now I would take Billy-Jeff over Obama, but there is no way in hell I would take him over GWB.

But what if the third party is a Conservative?

Or what if a RINO is selected as the Repub nominee and the Tea party backs someone like Trump as an independent. Trump could possibly win enough states to prevent either party from gaining a plurality. Then the House of R. would decide. It would get very interesting if that scenario happened provided Tea party candidates made huge gains in the House.

Most likely I would vote for the RINO so that is how I voted. Due to reality, actual vote may vary.
