What kind of workers are we quickly becoming?

Lets say a man or woman has worked for years but gets laid off and loses their home. Our person has burned up savings and is desperate for income. Lots of people are in this situation, I'll just call them "they". They will go where ever the jobs are, they will work for whatever the employer wants to pay, they will work at jobs that are unsafe, they will work "under the table", meaning for cash while their employer cheats on their tax obligation.

What do we call such a person? In most places we call that migrant labor, that's what we call it. It is the ultimate aim of our corporate driven body politic

Tax obligation? I hate condescending DUmmie attitude.

Those that can, piss in the cup. Those that can't, live in their cars and move a lot.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

In your case, Thom, I'm guessing that would be "Non-".

6. My son is married to one. Here's the kicker
she defends this major Drug chain. Oh **** it, I'm naming them WALGREEN'S. One of the worst schedules I've ever heard of - working 7 days straight, no o.t. 2 days off work 1 or 2 and then another 7 days for minimum wage. What bullshit!

However, this ding bat insists this ok and is anti-union.

As long as she has time to hit the laundry  mat.  Or run to the air  port if necessary.

Seriously, she may not be minimum wage for long.  She may make manager.  Funny how that happens.

That is exactly right. People with no marketable education or experience, thanks to the wondrous bounty of America, can have prosperous, successful careers. Millions are doing it at this very minute. But first, they have to pay some heavy dues, separate themselves somehow from the swarms of people who share their plight. They do that by displaying the kind of attitude, and patience, and work ethic that's being sneered at by DUmmy madmax. Whining malcontents like DUmmy madmax are forever unhappy, and forever impoverished in the midst of plenty. That's what makes them democrats.

Sounds like WAGS is short-handed at the moment.  Perhaps the company wanted to hire two other cashier's, but the hopefuls didn't study hard enough for their drug test.

But they didn't have to, because madmax's DIL stepped up to the plate.  BTW, I think it's very unseemly to slam and slime your own daughter-in-law on an internet message board.  For no good reason.  It's not like she's doing anything disgraceful or skanky, she's simply a hard worker, having no problems with a challenging schedule, and she's anti-union.  Madmax is a shit   head, calling her a ding   bat.

Madmax's daughter-in-law is what makes this country work.  I hope she is saving some of her hard-earned money. :usflag:
