To be fair to Ms. Dawson, it's exceedingly difficult to write Internet posts the same way one would, say, a five-point theme, complete with thesis statement, supporting paragraphs, conclusion, all that formal structure. Get the points out, hit "POST," and move on. Such is the way of the message board world. Paragraphs are, sadly, a lost art in this venue.
However, that doesn't alleviate the need for COHERENT thoughts, rational logic, semi-decent spelling, as well as syntax and logic that communicate ideas effectively to the reader. In other words, about 180 degrees out from vesta or Pam's posts. For years I've wondered why our children are so woefully unprepared for the workforce after graduation, not just high school graduation but even from college. Then I see Pam, and my only reaction is, "Ah--got it."
