Why on earth do otherwise sane Americans believe they are serving their country
 by joining the Guards or the Army so they can go to Iraq? I mean joining up so they can go to Iraq? Are they so naive to swallow everything that Bush and the neocons tell them? If Bush attacked Canada would they be lining up to save us from the evil Canucks? How can they see anything noble or just if furthering the tragedy in Iraq?

I've been under the impression that invading Mexico would actually do cause a huge number of improvements.

First off, DUmbasses, we are not "at war" with Iraq. 

The USA did not arbitrarily invade Iraq.  The USA kept its promise.  The USA is not the UN.  The USA means business (when adults are in charge).

If enemies of the USA (and freedom) start using Canada as a springboard for terrorism, the USA will move into Canada to put them down.  The USA made a promise to fight terrorism and the enemies of freedom wherever they gather. 

Canada is not special in any way.  It is not a Holy Land.

Lastly, DUmbasses, just because you are not mature enough to understand the world around you doesn't mean others aren't.  There is a huge network of dedicated and intelligent Americans who get up every morning just to protect your creepy little socialistic asses from having your freedom to be perpetually stupid taken away.  You will never understand it, so don't even try.

If $kimmer attacked Bush because of (pick a tiny, insignificant nuiscance that happens in everyone's life) would they be lining up to curse * because of it? When you think of the word "soldier" you think of a grownup, but these are KIDS fighting over there. That's why they call it the "infantry" after all. The older men who send them there are obviously more valuable and needed here at home, rather than over there catching bullets.

Speaking for my neighborhood in Philly, most of these kids will be suckered into the job by the flashy ads or the agressive recruiting going on here. Every strip mall in the area has a recruiting office from one branch of the military or the other. At the tender age of 17 or 18, most young men and women aren't able to resist the call to "duty" especially when they're not old enough to remember past wars and they're faced with the choice of either working at Wal-Mart for the rest of their lives or going to foreign lands and excitment, then coming home to a college education (if they come home).
