Thanks for the well wishes and prayers, they worked because they let me out late yesterday evening after what my Dr described as "The fastest neurological workup in the history of medical science". There was a damn good reason it went that fast. The Hospital just opened Saturday.

I was the 94th patient overall and the 12th inpatient admitted. I was a guinea pig for alot of their shiny new equipment too. So that was why everything went so fast. My discharge was held up for a couple hours after the Dr. decided I could go because they hadn't officially admitted me yet because of glitches in the computer they were chasing out of the system.

I've never had Bells Palsy before but I've heard of it and talked to people who've had it before. I suspected Bells was the problem from the get-go because I wasn't having any walking, talking or dexterity issues with my hand at all. I'd been at work for 4 and a half hours by the time I called my PCP. They were concerned enough to admit me because Bells affects the forehead along with everything else but mine still worked at the time. Of course this morning it's as dead as the rest of my face, go figure.

It's supposed to get worse before it gets better and it is. It may take days/weeks/months to clear up or it may stick around forever. I love certainty.
I'm wearing an eyepatch and have to use artificial tears to keep my eye moist and have to tape it shut at night to avoid scratching it when I'm asleep. Fun times, fun times.
