Diane Pathieu confirmed that doors at Chapman, Curtin, Mellencamp, Mitchell and Sabin Halls all had doors with superglue in the locks on Monday.She said those doors were opened before 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. No classes were affected.Newsradio 620 WTMJ’s Jodi Becker confirmed that the doors to the Sendik’s on Downer Avenue were also glued shut.
Police said Monday they are investigating an incident Saturday night in which a citizen saw someone spray-painting anti-Gov. Scott Walker graffiti on the side of an M&I bank branch at Southridge. Interim Police Chief Bob Malasuk said Monday the bystander spotted the vandal just after 10 p.m. spray-painting the building. No suspect has yet been apprehended.Malasuk said words such as “Traitor†and “Unions are Forever,†as well as profanity directed at Walker were spray-painted on the wall.
M&I Bank issued a statement saying the bank has not contributed to any candidate, and did not contribute to Governor Walker or Mayor Tom Barrett in the last gubernatorial election. FOX6 found one customer who’s not waiting, Morgan Herum already closed her account. She said, “Following the precedent of the firefighters in Madison, I closed my account. M&I was on the list of businesses to boycott, because they’re in support of Scott Walker.â€
