Well known scientist and a bad joke
« on: March 15, 2011, 05:46:51 AM »
Listened to an interview with a scientist on Fox news.

The interviewer who I cannot recall  was asking all kinds of questions about the problems Japan is now facing.   The Scientist sat back and said he wondered if this was the start of 2012.

The interviewer became very confused as I suspect he was thinking in political age and asked the Scientist what on earth he was talking about.

The Scientist said he was speaking of the Mayan Calender, the Host became even more confused and replied he knew nothing about the Mayans and began to sound like he thought the Scientist had lost his mind.

So it seems that in the back of the minds of the Scientific Community there is a bit of wonder about this date we all joke about.

How could this Interviewer at some time  not have have heard about the Mayan Calender that we the public have been hearing and reading about for the last 10 years??

Christians believe in the Book of Revelations and an end time scenario, not so much looking for Who is John Gault, but Who is the Anti Christ 666.

The Ancient people who with nothing but eye sight that mapped the heavens may just may have been correct.    Millions of educated people search the writings of Nostradamus for his predictions.    The Edger Casey foundation is going very strong and thriving in VA. Beach, VA.

This may be a HUGE coincidence the problems of Japan at this time, just one heck of a bad luck strike----Yet, with all the upheaval in the land the Bible speaks of 2000 years ago, the world wide mess that every country has gotten themselves into---

Perhaps this Scientist was NOT joking.

I believe in the Mayan calender, Nostradamus, Biblical prophesy, Edgar Cayce and so on about equally - which is to say not at all.

"Who is John Galt" on the other hand - eminently possible.  :-)

Sorry Thor, it has been years since I first was introduced to the books and found them really fascinating, as with that Peter Huko [spell] and the new wave about UFO's and  Betty and Barney Hill from my home town.

One has to realise I came up from a small town with a SAC base, lots of crap was going on at the time, former air force pilots now retired working in the police department publically speaking of really strange stuff they could not explain.

A long time ago but we in this area had never been exposed to anything like this.      Just a hop, skip, and a jump to the Edgar Cayce books and even more odd stuff.

My generation had never seen anything like this or had any past generation, there was no one in family or school to explain why anything like this was happening.  Our children the next generation learned about all this from the parents and grandparents, My generation had no one to learn from except the Bible with a few mentions of what could have been visits from alien life.

Cool down your Jets Lovey, please realise that some of us come from life styles that did not even have a TV until the early 1960's.

Very odd that we in town knew the Hills as either out local Liberian or every day post man.  The Airforce did find their car had a high radio reactive  reading on the trunk of their car.

Betty claimed to have seen a map on board the craft that marked out trade routs.    I have to this day a painting of her replication.   20 or so years when by and no country could find the solar systems she described until one day a worker in Russia put the film in backwards and ---Bingo--it matched.

Lots to wonder about Thor, how did a Liberian from a small town come up with a map from the solar system  inside out???

So now with all this going on why would we not wonder if the Mayan Calender is in syncs with the Bible.??

Are you Thor one of these people that believe in the Bible yet when things start to go go bad, refuse to even consider that perhaps the time is coming in your life time?

I will believe that whatever happens my God will take care of me.  But that Mayan talk does make my heart race

But Gina, You're God expects YOU to have accountability and use the talents and gifts He has given you.  God would not have given us freedom of choice had He expected us to depend on Him only.

The Mayan talk is very interesting, they have gotten some things wrong through the years---but what if they are on the money this time in sync with the Bible???

Some South American faiths believe God came from the stars and taught them how to plant crops and build those pyramids.   The faith for told when this God with white skin and reddish hair would come back up to the very year the people began looking for Him.

By some quirk the very time they were waiting for Him to arrive, over the horizon came these huge boats with white sales full of white men, some with reddish hair and beards carring hundreds of huge beasts that they sat on and controlled.

It took a couple years before the areas got the news out that these were not the good Gods they had thought them to be.    The soon found out that the good God they had expected was the devil incarnate.-------Goes along with the Bible of Satan arriving as a savior, a source of good until it is too late to realise just who and what he, or they  are.

The Society's of South and Central America could not fight this evil-----an evil that was excepted around the globe as normal warfare to find land and riches.

Has anything changed in 600 years as to human nature, I do not believe so, our nature is built into our DNA and cannot be changed by religion, politics, there will allways be the people among us that survive on pure guts and luck.
