We're calling for a nation-wide sick-out, on March 30th! A work-stoppage might FINALLY get the point across that WE are the people who run this country, NOT the people with the money and the privilege! Let's see how they like it when things come to a screeching halt. No marching in the street. No fire-bombs. No rubber bullets. Just don't show up for work. Don't show up for school. Don't go shopping. Stay at home, and read a book...! Take a walk to the park... do anything you want, except don't SPEND any money, or MAKE money for these thieves! What are they gonna do... come looking for three hundred and ten million people, and march us back to work or school? One way or another, we are going to get their attention!

The people who 'own' this country have created a situation where we are all so scared of our own shadows, that we don't even THINK about civil disobedience. We realize the gravity of people's situations all across this land... and we're thinking that this is a relatively safe way to vent some of that pressure. Without a 'safe' way to act out, we're afraid that when push DOES come to shove, it's not going to be pretty. Right now, our country is becoming like a pressure-cooker, and if that top blows, it's really going to be messy. It was thought that this is a fairly safe way to send a message without having anyone get hurt. If you can't join us in taking a day off, be sure you still spread the word!

Remember... 'United We Stand, Divided We Beg!'

Oh no!  Not no a Wednesday!  Not when I have to go and do errands.  How will I EVER get into Walgreens, CVS, Smith's, Walmart, fuel up my tank, get food, etc if EVERYONE calls out sick.  ::)

Since the only jobs many DUmmies have are posting on DU does that mean there will be less posting on that day?

I hope not.  What will we do to entertain ourselves until March 31?

I do think to avoid being hypocritical they should shut their computers off, tv's off and not eat the whole day.

Screw you, DUmmies--we're on outage schedule and that's my OT day.  You think I'm giving up 12 hours of OT just for your dumb asses?

The bouncies that it would create might be worth it!

Hey Dear Abby. Who are these "thieves" that you speak of primitive? Are these the CEO's and businesses owners? Those people that employ people so that we can make a living and provide for ourselves/families?
Take a walk you scrunt.

There will be lots of entertaining bouncies, starting tomorrow, on conversations at the 7-11, or the filling station, or the grocery store, about DUmmies plans for bringing Amereica to its knees. There will be lots of approving, nodding bystanders, and lots of sputtering, angry rethugs.

And, oh yes, the chubby know-it-all DUmmy nadinbrzhzhzhzzski will condescendingly explain, from her vast experience, the need for violent revolution at least five times per day.

Most DUmmies will pledge to go on strike, if they find a job.

Yes, because otherwise THE MAN is getting their beer and travel money.  THE MAN probably makes more money off them if they are at home.
