A (fully informed) woman wants to risk her life...that's one thing.

The dirty little secret is that MOST pregnant women desperately WANT that baby.

My doctor (Kansas 1978) wanted me to have an abortion, but I refused..not for religious reasons.. I just had a feeling that everything would be fine.. and it was...and he's the best kid anyone could have ever wanted. It was dangerous for me to carry him, and I did end up with my 2nd abruption on 4 years, but I would do it again

13. A painful thread because a friend of mine died
   
While pregnant she discovered that she had cancer. She chose to postpone treatment until after her baby was born, and then it was too late.

What gives us just a little comfort is knowing that she made the choice herself, fully aware of the risk she was taking. The state legislature did not choose for her.

I have not heard a single conservative say the babies life is more important than the mothers.  However, many mothers would choose as Karia's friend did.

I saw that report this evening. They are saying that because women are choosing to have babies later in life the instances of being diagnosed with cancer while pregnant has gone up.
I would never want to be in the shoes of that woman that has to make that choice and my heart goes out to all of them.
I saw nothing in the report about the state making them choose either way. Usual DUmmy lies. ::)

No conservative has ever stated that the mother must risk her life to carry her baby.  Every single law ever proposed has an exemption for health conditions that could actually kill or physically harm the mother. 

Just like their constant stupidity about "having to report every cycle, send in used tampons, prosecute mothers that miscarry," they are simply so full of BS that I can smell them from here.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.   :banghead:
