The DUmmy's outrage comes from the constant sense of entitlement that progressives have.  If they apply for a job, they think they must get it.  If they don't, it means that there's something wrong with the company.

I would think it's more along the lines of "I applied, they should create a job for me whether I'm qualified or not, or their lousy greedy corporate pigs."

11. First of all, it's a boilerplate response...
...and you should not take it as having been custom generated for you. Second, I would not work for a company whose corporate culture would allow such a letter to go out to anyone. Whoever creates the standard form letters there has a real attitude problem and he or she is being allowed to get away with it. That says something about the company, and it's not a good sign.

Long story short: **** 'em and the proverbial horse they rode in on.

After which, Hannah Bell the raving communist says that that was the best response ever.

Then there is another point here even if he was taking a hit on his pay from getting the job, perhaps the company decided to get a Temp with his education and pay them minimun wage.

This is becoming very common in the work place, with all these educated people out of work they go to a Temp agency and will work for what ever they can get.      So someone who has worked for the company for 20 years is fired for what ever reason and a younger person with a newer degree in education replaces him for 1/4 the salary. the new worker is told that if they work out they will be hired on permint with health insurance and a 401K   After a year the new Temp is hired and does get a pay raise to 3/4 of the salary of the man he replaced and feels lucky.

This is one reason companys do not want unions, ----Just saying as I am anti union  except in severe cases.

One-quarter?  So a guy retires or leaves a company making $100K and the company thinks they can fill the position with some kid making $25K, WITHOUT benefits?  Do you REALLY believe that?

My head hurts.
