Rabbit 'plagues' hit Eyre Peninsula
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/02/28/3150824.htm

Humanity is doomed. Bunnies have doomed humanity. Bunnies caused oil prices to shoot up. :argh: Their days are numbered. Their Dooms Day is looming.

You know in millions of year some bunnies will turn into oil if everything works out.

I do not like the idea of poisoning anything, no telling what wild life will eat the dead and die themselves.  Think here of what can be done.

Get together clothing designers very up scale and have them designing clothing using bunny fur.  Then put a $.50 bounty on the heads of the rabbits shot and killed.   No pain no suffering for them. The hunters will gain 40 cents for each rabbit if the shell only cost 10 cents each.

With enough pull form the fashion CONCEIOUS  woman all over the world have high priced boots, jackets and coats from bunny fur, can rabbit hide be tanned, to make book covers, and wallets??

We have to make it fashionable to wear Rabbit even down to making cat and dog toys with them.

Don't poison these guys have a heart a quick death and then on to another use is preferable.

Make Rabbit meat very expensive and people that only dine at the best restaurants will want for more.

On a weekend a 15 year old with a 22 can make $40.00 dollars for one hour a day just sitting on the back porch.

Drives me nuts that when a disaster comes along people do not look at it as an opportunity to make use of what ever happens.

Chill out Thor, from the article----

Biosecurity program manager Iggy Honan says about 500,000 rabbits are being targeted in a poisoning program.

Sorry I piss you off but this is what that article said and my reaction to poisoning wild life that may be eaten by birds and other scavengers.

:facepalm2:

Yes Thor, I cannot figure the logicis of how to poison 500,000 bunnys and find each and every one.    These Rabbits will take a while to die, they will not just drop dead on the spot.

These rabbits are not roaches that take poison on their feet back to their colony, they will hop away after injesting poison as rats and mice do and end up who knows where until the smell gives their position of death away.

It may take hours or days for the poison to bring them down, meanwhile there are thousands of baby rabbits getting ready to leave their den.

What kind of poison will they use, can a dead bunny in a back yard of a family infect the children, pets or live stock of the family???

When we find a dead bird on our property we do not handle them with bare hands, or allow the kids to touch it or the dog or cat to eat it. some of these dead Bunnys may have died of other causes and not poisoned,.

So 50,000 of dead rabits are rounded up, people are going to want their skins or pelts to sell, will the poison go into the skins and infect those who handle them or buy their pelts.??  Can someone who buys and wears rabbit fur get ill from the poison still in the hides.??

We have seen what happens when people inport cow skin from Africa and the Drum makers in America come down with anthrax and die. To think each bunny died of poison and not plague is asking for trouble.

Feral rabbits are a problem in many places here these days. The ecological and agricultural damage caused is substantial.

The government is too overrun with filthy treehuggers and GFW assholes to allow the most obvious solution.

Allow the recreational hunting of them and give a ear bounty.

So they release nasty ass stuff like calicivirus and Myxomatosis - which like most things the rabbits develop immunity to after some time.

Never seen a buunneh that had an immunity to lead poisoning.
