Oddly enough, a couple of side benefits from this diet (no joke) result.

(This gets into the realm of TMI, but since this is my thread, I don't give a rip (pun fully intended)):

* Mrs. E says that my snoring has STOPPED.

* Farting/excess gas is vastly reduced, almost gone. In fact, BMs all the way around are few and far between. Now that really surprises me with all the veggies and fiber and all, but it's true. Once every 2 or 3 days -- seriously.

I will join you in the TMI....I will try to be as "delicate" as possible... :-)

Prior to the diet, I was lucky to "poops" once or twice a week, and it was like I had become a rabbit!  :banghead:

When RB and I started the diet, we both did this "cleanse" thing, which was recommended to remove toxins and ready the body for a serious nutritional change. That was really an experience.  :thatsright: Ten days of taking 7 capsules at one time, 3x's a day.

It worked on her. Immediately. Then she went from being a daily regular, to like you, once or twice a week. She's still that way, 6.5 months later.

Me? It was like I acquired a cork!   :censored: I gained 14 pounds in those first 7 days.  :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: I was not only physically miserable, but this was the first time I had ever really dieted, and I was a total bitch, in sugar withdrawals, because I was following the diet perfectly. If the two of us hadn't been doing it together and I wasn't so competitive...I really would have quit.  :censored:

Then I decided, I would have some M&M's every night, for my mental health. The cork popped and all I can say is, I can't believe I didn't have brown eyes, as the phrase "you are full of shit" took on a new meaning!!!  ::) ::) ::)

Not sure what happened then, or continues to happen, but "things" haven't changed much since. The food intake isn't sticking around long enough, to absorb much of any type of nutrition.  :whatever: Good thing I'm taking all kinds of vitamins and nutriet supplements.  :-)

I was trying really hard to be as ungraphic as possible.   :-)

RB and I cracked up one day, when we realized we had just spent 45 minutes discussing how our bodily functions had changed.

It was one of those "Oh no!" moments.....and we decided we were practicing for when we get to the old folks' home.  :lmao:

Oh, trust me. It's about every 20 minutes when I get to work because at that point, I've already had, in order:

1.  One coffee-cup of hot lemon-water (juice of one-half lemon mixed with hot water for a sort of "tea".
2.  One 20 oz. glass of water for vitamins.
3.  One large cup of black coffee.
4.  One coffee-cup of green tea with breakfast.

I'm pissing like a racehorse and it's a major PITA, but hey, it works.

All together, I'm drinking somewhere between one-half to 3/4 of a gallon of water a day. That does NOT include the lemon-water, green tea, and coffee all of which are considered "negative water."

According to the doc who developed the diet, the lemon-water is supposed to jumpstart your digestion process. Maybe that's why the BMs have slowed to a crawl..... :whatever:

Mine slowed to a crawl many years ago..... Every four to seven days.......

Inga has made me start taking some of those "cleanse" pills. Unless I take a whole bunch at once and for a few times  day, they don't work. I could get REALLY graphic, but I'll choose not to. Just go ahead and thank me now!!  :-)

You need to stay with them. Mine came in little packets of 7 pills, and one packet was to be taken 3 times a day. I have no clue what all was in them, but I'm guessing from the way my body ballooned out, they had to be like those capsule thingies you can buy in a toy store or novelty store....you put one in the sink filled with water, and the capsule turns into a 5x5" toy.  :banghead:

Like I said, when they all kicked in...OH. MY. I swear though, before they did, I felt like I was a ragdoll with way to much stuffing and I was going to explode at the seams.

Well then, I am done buying oranges and orange juice.  I gained a pound last night.  I'll blame it on the oranges and orange juice I am so addicted to right now.

Dropped another pound.

That's awesome!  Keep up the great work.  :)

I've become addicted to "fizzy water". I like Walmart's the best, only because it's "no sodium, no calories, no caffeine"....it's the only one I've been able to find, that has no sodium. All the others have some amount, and I don't like the way it tastes.

It's 98cents for a 2-liter bottle and I drink about 1.5-2 per day. It comes in several different fruit flavors, but I like the key lime the best, the others taste too sweet to me. I tried the peach and the black cherry and they were like drinking sugar water! The white grape tastes just like white grape juice.

Well, I had a minor setback over the past weekend when I was out of town participating in a conference. This diet is great, but trying to eat low to no carbs ain't easy on the road.

For three days this week I cut out carbs and fat and ate Greek yogurt (thanks deb!) with a bit of fruit, and no carbs at all after 2 p.m.

As of this morning, I am 18 lbs. lighter, so the minor setback was easily breached.

I get pretty weak around the bakery. Fortunately, we typically shop at Walmart, so it's not too bad. Cub Foods, up North, has an AWESOME bakery.
