On Jan 4, price here on post was $3.18/gal. Yesterday, it was at $3.35. There were all sorts of news stories on New Year's Eve about gas going up 8 cents 1 Jan because of tax increases, but an increase of twice that amount goes unmentioned. It's almost like they don't want to draw attention to it...

Pretty much the same here in Middle TN.  I use premium because my Luxury Euro car requires it or it gets kinda bitchy at me.  And I think maybe end of November I was paying $3.24 for 93 Octane Premium.

$3.00 even here in KC today, and has been dropping for a week.

We just returned from a trip around the south covering over half a dozen states, the price was $2.95 to $3.05 pretty much everywhere EXCEPT Tennessee, when we were returning and had to cut across the southwestern corner of  the state (so we didn't stop for gas), but as soon as we hit the Missouri bootheel, it was back to $2.99

Went in to town this morning and holy crap! Fuel went up nearly 10 cents a liter last night so now we'll have to deal with that for the next week. Next week I image it'll either go up or stay the same...

We're creeping back up again.  It was $3.45 yesterday.  The prices will probably be $3.50 when I head into work on Tuesday.

$3.69 and $3.54 today.  WTF?  There has always been 10 cents difference between the ethanol and non-ethanol blends, but now the ethanol blend is 15 cents cheaper?  I thought the ethanol subsidies ended on January 1st.  Should that cause prices to rise not go down?

I'm totally guessing here, but might that be because existing stocks of ethanol produced before the subsidies ended haven't been exhausted yet?

Oh, and $3.399 this morning.  Getting a fill of heating oil if/when the guy ever shows up.  $3.599.  First fill of the season.  Gonna be at least 200 gallons.

Filled up today at $3.60 for non ethanol and the E-Blend is $3.45.  Surprisingly, that is above the $3.39 national average. :sarcasm:   Illinois taxes suck.

filled up at Shell today and used my 10cents off a gallon discount so  I got it for 3.13 a gallon.  I am sure it's cheaper at Costco but it was 5am
