The Horse with No Name DUmmie doesn't quite get what is wrong with this post.  His daughter works in a grocery store in Texas and today the food stamp network was down for five hours.  A customer of his daughter complained that she was having a Super Bowl party and this was an inconvenient time for a malfunction! 

I, for one, am happy to know that my hard-earned tax dollars go to pay for Super Bowl parties.

On Superbowl Sunday.
Apparently, the Lone Star Card went down today for 5 hours statewide.
She said one lady literally threatened her because she couldn't take her food stamps. WTF?
She told her she had a Superbowl party planned and that my daughter was ruining it!

Daughter said the place was a madhouse all day and crazy because of the Lone Star card malfunction...and that the manager asked her to stay later...but she declined the offer,lol.


I think this is supposed to be *sarcasm* but who knows?

The EBT card system was up and running today, as evidenced by the shit piled high in the carts of the food stamp brigade at the local WalMart and Market Basket.

I did a quick search of news on this matter, and there was nothing.  One would think if the "Lone Star Card" or any other such program were to be unavailable for many hours, it would have made the news.

It pisses me off to no ends to get behind some lardass with the best cuts of meat, paying with an EBT card while my tax-paying ass is behind her with products that have 1.50, 2.00, or 3.00 dollar off stickers due to age.  :censored:

I was standing behind this black woman at Kroger one day and she didn't have enough money for her purchase.  Told the cashier that she would have to put something back because she didn't have enough food stamps for her purchase.  It was Christmas time so I pulled out a $5 and another woman did the same and we paid for her groceries. 

Fast forward to paying for our groceries and leaving out the front door.  Same woman was putting her groceries into a jaguar parked in the handicapped spot.  She ruined me forever on giving money to strangers. :argh:

I don't see why it's so difficult to limit these asswipes to what they can or cannot buy. How the hell is it possible to gamble with the damn things? Have they fixed that yet? Knowin' the speed our gubmint works, I sorta doubt it.

It can't be that difficult to limit these cards to certain terminals! Steak sure as hell shouldn't be on the menu! If it were up to me the only meat products they could buy would be canned tuna, ( screw that ), mackerel, and Spam!

That's a good idea. The DUmmies like their socialism so much, the USDA should set up stores that only take "food stamps" and only those stores will be allowed to accept them.  That would get rid of almost all fraud.

It's called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) instead of food stamps anymore.  The p.c. crowd felt that food stamps was too demeening to those using the program so they gave it a new catchy phrase so the recipients can feel better about themselves while they spend our money

In California, the state spent all kinds of money to re-brand the state run food stamp program which is now called "Cal Fresh"  

What did obozo say during his campaign?  Was it "you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig"....
