Arizona "honor killing" trial set to start

An Iraqi immigrant is due to begin trial on Monday to face charges he murdered his daughter by running her over with a Jeep because he believed she was too Westernized.

Opening arguments are scheduled to begin in Maricopa County Superior Court in the case of Faleh Hassan Almaleki, accused of what prosecutors say was an October 2009 "honor killing" over his daughter's behavior.

Police say he crashed his Jeep Laredo into his 20 year-old daughter, Noor Almaleki, and her boyfriend's mother, as the two walked across a parking lot in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria. The daughter died two weeks later; the mother recovered. ...

Religion and tradition aside, When a person comes into this country, they should accept all the laws of this country. Maybe hurting his daughter for her newfound beliefs may have been acceptable in his native country, but it is unacceptable here!!!
There is a difference between religious views and humanitarian views. He killed someone, and according to our laws(not the laws of his native country) he has to pay the penalty.

So why not take criminals that break our laws and subject them to their own laws.

If these religious people want to off their own family, so be it.  If one is caught stealing then cut off their hand, female adultery, cut off her head,- rape, remove the penis of the prep and stone the victim to death. Why should these MEN from another country  go along with their law and then cower under our laws.??

They want Sharia law, then give it to them.  Give them the punishment that their religion follows here.  Give them a choice when up for trial, either they go under Sharia law or the laws in America.    If they choose American law then they are deported to their home country, if they choose Sharia Law then go to town boys, few I expect will want to be drawn and quartered, or loose an arm or a leg just to remain and be buried on American soil. 

These who follow Sharia are trying to Buffalo us into expecting us to allow them to do as they wish and have comtempt for our laws.  Until they break our laws and then it is called non tolerance for the culture of others.

At his time I cannot remember who stated that to conquer and occupy a people was to distroy their Gods and replace them.  Alexander the Great perhaps.??    Then another great leader stated that in true war the children must be killed first so in later years they would not arise against those that conquered their lands.

We were lucky to have the Catholic Church that because of these atrocity's against woman placed the Church in the position they began to idolise Mary and make other woman Saints.  So many woman were killed back then that the Church had to make a stand, no woman, no children to pay into their coffers.

You do know that India woman who become pregnant get a sonar gram to find the sex of the baby--if female then an abortion.   This has become so wide spread that the Indian males cannot find a wife from their area and have to look elsewhere.

It is interesting to look back on world history and then compare it to today, much has not changed in some parts of the world for 5,000 years.
