I thought we had her last year with the scholarship scandal.  South Dallas may be a crap hole, but they know how to get out the vote.  The good news is that Clancy dang near took out Watkins.  I knew Clancy when he was on the bench and had the pleasure to speak with him at a fundraiser last year.  I was pulling hard for him, but since I vote in Denton County, all I could really do was talk him up.

I find it wholly and completely amazing that she could even muster ANY kind of support to win a single election, much less a re-election.

I'm having to put this as delicately as I can.....if you know south Dallas, you know that they are more willing to vote for someone who looks like them rather than someone who has their best interest at heart.

Well, it comes as no surprise to anybody that those who have had their hand out and had it filled their entire lives by those who use that practice as a method of keeping those same folks in line tend to think that those who continue to fill that hand have "best interests at heart."

I know, that was a shocker.  I was amazed, probably shouldn't have been, but I was that she got reelected.  I voted Clancy.  I am interested to see what is going to happen in the mayor's race.  I wonder if Leppert is going to run for KBH's seat.  He said he would never run against her.  I am glad I don't live in the city though.
