It's thundersnowing here right now. The weatherman is predicting 10" to 18" inches now here in the OKC metro.

We just had a couple of waves of torrential downpours. Next will be the sleet/ ice. Snow to follow. The nice thing........ I don't have to go snow blow or shovel the driveway as it will all be gone by Friday at the latest. (Maybe Thursday)  Now comes more rain with some associated thunder.

Still LMAO @ Sparky!!!

Looks like 10" of snow is the total here. Have about 7" on the ground now with a few more heavy bands shooting this way. Big drifting with -10 F and lower WCF on the horizon.

Yeah, the SHTF here at about 0900. I figure I'll hang on here at work until noonish, then pull the plug. The latest estimate for my neck o' the woods is 14". We'll escape the ice storm, which occurs to the south - I'm betting DAT is getting waxed about now.

The rain that was supposed to start yesterday, just started with sprinkie-dinks a little bit ago. Temps have stayed up, (57 now) the high winds are coming in (high a relative term...25mph - not much by midwest standards, but with the higher altitudes and all the trees, it's high wind warnings here), and 1" of rain expected tonight with storms.

Snow on Friday has switched to rain, still rain/snow for Tuesday.

In other words....who the hell knows what we are going to get.

All I can say is I think Al Gore and all these climate freaks....have really pissed off Mother Nature!!! NO ONE tells HER what the weather is going to be!!!!!!

I was here then.  Don't recall it, but it could be.  I remember an ice storm that came through and hosed stuff up, but that happens regularly.

So I guess we ARE experiencing global warming!

I was rearanging photos of family taken way back and notice that some from the 30--40's taken in the winter time show snow up to the eves of 2 story homes.

I found one picture of a snow device used in the 1910 era that looks like a steam roller pulled by horses or Mules that just flattened down the snow and compressed it enough so horse drawn wagons could get to town.

Cycles of weather patterns, some photos showed winter scenes with hardly any snow on the ground, in the 1920's and others in the 40-50's snow up to a tall Indians ass.----Local saying back then and written on the back of one photo--------

Can anyone explain what is happening in Australia to me.     We know about the Indonesian ring of fire, expect the worse.   Australia is to my mind the worse hit by any natural disasters and we ignore it to send money to some place that takes the money and never benefits it's citizens.

All we need is one or two humongous solar flares to take out world wide communication for a few weeks---that will be the icing on the cake.
