Yuck the only white stuff belongs in a freezer better known as ice cream. I am so sick of winter I can't wait to see my shorts and sundresses

6-10 inches predicted for my area.  Fortunately the roads are pretty well cleared from the last storm, as is my driveway.

Unfortunately, I'll have to dig another path for the oil company this weekend when they deliver my refill.

On a happier note, it's currently -4 degrees with a -15 windchill, according to the local weather monitoring stations and my handy-dandy home weather station.

Meh--screw it.  I've already gassed up the snowblower for tomorrow.

It's the freezing rain accumulation that is the killer.    Snow all day, then freezing rain means no power.

You must be getting the same storm we are on Friday. When the weather guy says it's "rain all day on Thursday, later turning to ice, then turning to snow with at least 2" of snow accumulation but we're not sure of how much more".....it brings flashbacks of '93 and 24" of snow.  :(

Normally, the only time the weather gets to me, is when it's the unending high heat and humidity in the summer, but these last few weeks are making me really depressed with the almost constant gray sky. At least during December when it was like this, I was too busy to notice...

You have my sympathies being housebound with the munchkins...I would be so overdosed on chocolate by this point, my eyes would have turned brown!
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

We've had it fairly light in the Ozarks this year, really no major accumulation in my part of it yet.  Looks like we'll get at least a couple of inches Wednesday night/Thursday, but the way things are going it'll probably sweep on through quickly and head for the Ohio valley and possibly New England like all the previous ones seem to have done.

Problem up here is, it's not warming up at all, and it's just piling up.  And FL is right.  The snow is just the start.  Add on a 1/2 inch of ice and you're gonna have some SERIOUS problems.

Oh, and they revised the forecast for this weekend.  -10 on Saturday night, -6 on Sunday night.  Highs MIGHT get above 10.

Gonna get cold here in North Central Texas on Thursday with a high of the mid 20s and lows  in the low teens or lower. (I know, that's not too bad to you Northerners, but that's a bit cold for Texas)
