I'm loving our new governor  :rotf:

COLUMBIA -- Gov.-elect Nikki Haley won't give Susan Smith a chance to tell Oprah Winfrey's nearly 6 million viewers what life is like behind bars for killing her two young sons.

Haley on Thursday said she wouldn't grant Winfrey access to Smith, continuing the state Department of Corrections' long-standing policy of barring inmates from giving interviews.

"While Gov.-elect Haley has great respect for Oprah, let's be clear: Ms. Smith got enough press when she killed her two children and lied about it to the country," Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey said. "South Carolina suffered enough from this tragedy, and we are now focused on the positives in our great state."

Good for Governor Haley. I remember the Susan Smith case well as a kid. I knew that woman killed her children from day one. Smith reminds me of Diane Downs and Casey Anthony.  :argh:

Oprah's herd of cows fans aren't happy with her anyway. Her new OWN network is not on basic cable, people have to pay extra for it.

Yeah, I used to watch Medical Miracles, Trauma, and one other show deaing with a Coroner. "Dr. G" I think it was called. Now it's her OWN crap channel, and I haven't even checked it out. Screw her!

Oprah is just one more reason I wish we could go to an "ala carte" cable menu.  I pay a shitload of money for channels I never watch, and next to nothing for the ones I do watch.

Let me clarify, I'm NOT watching the shows.  I wanted to see what I would be missing since I have NO intention of ever stopping on her channel.  I went thru the line-up on her website and it appears to be mostly new stuff and junk at best.

I didn't see Dr G on the line-up.
