I mean seriously. This is not calling anyone out..but I have to make a post on this sort of new topic of discussion I see on this site that's blowing my mind.

Let me think on this. Obama was accused by the Right for being a Muslim and denying it because his father was Muslim and his step-father was Muslim while being in Muslim nation.

Now after this Michael Vick nonsense, people on this board are pushing a damned meme...and I don't know if it's Right or Left, but the mere fact this is given even a consideration here and stated more than several times. Says to me it's coming out of our camp that Obama ate dog or dogs---at the moment I'm unsure if there was more than one or even one for that matter.

Let me ask you this? So what if he did? He was a 6 or 7 year old kid in Indonesia. That culture is a very restrictive culture for a child. It's not like he had a choice, if it did happen. It's like when you were forced to eat broccoli or spinach as a kid or whatever. You hated it, but at times it was forced down your throat. None of you even know if he knew he was eating dog. Just that they do eat dogs in that nation, so he must have of course ate dog too. Well for your info in most East Asian cultures they eat dogs. Do we have a call to make on that? What does that have to do with this damned situation?

I come from a culture where some people eat cats (I'm Haitian if you didn't know). Respectively my country adores Dogs. Dogs are basically humans in Haiti. You mess around or kill one and you'll probably not be found again. And in a lot of Hispanic and East Asian cultures they do eat cats--China and Korea but also in parts of Australia (Aboriginals).

What are you going to say then? That if there were cat fights going on I would be supportive of that because I come from a country of cats. I probably ate cat and I didn't know. And what if I did know?! What are you going to do? You're going to say I hate cats (I'm horribly allergic to these cats and dogs) then and that there is something wrong with me for eating cats. Most every animal on Earth is edible. And most people all over the world eat EVERYTHING. They eat rats in China and in parts of South America. There are cultures where people dig up the body of the dead and eat them...you're going to hate on them for that.

I'm just shocked by this stupid correlation. That's even a consideration on this site. There is absolutely no respect of cultural relativism on this site if the fact he was raised in Indonesia is brought into discussion, that he must be a dog eater and that has an affect on what he said to Lurie about ex-cons. And when people are taking his words completely out of context. Because he supports Lurie for taking a chance on an ex-convict that society, if we go by some on DU standards, still wants to remain ostracized or he has not been ostracized enough or paid enough of his dues (which is arguable admittedly arguable for his actions).

Obama made no praise to the guys actions and didn't even seem to name him by name. Or I saw no direct quote from Obama in any of the articles. All I saw was hear say and a round about idea of what the conversation entailed when it went into an ex-con when the main topic of discussion was the Eagle's push for environmental conservation. And yet, that is shut down to make a story out of something else.

And the mere fact I see this any sort of correlation with some idea that Obama ate dog in Indonesia makes him insensitive is ridiculous---because that's how I'm reading the correlation. Especially when the man is an obvious animal lover and has a dog an further more, there is no fact to the statement, just conjecture, and the fact that Obama actually condemned what Vick did.

NUTS, there is no way Obama if raised to be a Muslim would have eaten DOG under any circumstances.

The Indonesians I know believe that if they accidentally bump into a DOG they cannot say their prays and if on that day they do not pray, and die, NO VIRGINS FOR YOU BUSTER.  Same for a pig or snake.

Only non Muslims eat DOG or PORK.

So, that should settle that question,  EXCEPT for the fact that Muslims are allowed to LIE and meld into the customs of others when they are about to kill them. 

Very complicated faith for the Muslims that come here from Indonesia.

Getting very tired of the shit where if you or I visit or decide to move to another country, we must obey their laws, and not use the excuse that --Gee--this is OK in my country.

Move here and the same thing should hold, want to visit or live here, then you must obey our American laws.

So who are majority here in America ?

Pure bloods or Mutts like most of us.  Pure bloods are a minority and are what they are.  Us mutts have a choice of what heritage we wish to identify with. 

Life can get complicated here as Mutts have to decide what branch of the family to identify with.  Much depends on personality, do people identify with the down trodden or the successfully side.??
