I didn't celebrate X-mas, I celebrated Christmas.
As for it's other comment, Jehovah witnesses are to be admired for their resolve because it conforms to Scrooge LAGC's tightwad idea of how Christmas should be run(who wants to bet too LAGC didn't give any gifts or cards, but got one from each and every family member there?

) I'm certain there is no pressure within any church including a JW church, to conform to certain standards.

Everyone conforms to norms or cultural 'pressures' if you will. A JW is no exception. One could argue that bouncies on DU are done in the interest of conforming to the norms and standards of DU, no matter how daft they may be, and the bouncy is an attempt to fit in and be considered a good primitive by conforming to the culture of DU.
What always cracks me up about these dimwits is if they were in some 3rd world shithole and asked to participate in some ridiculous and outright dangerous religious custom or cultural tradition, they'd do it in a heartbeat and 'conform to the cultural pressures of the 'exotic' 3rd world culture'

, then pat themselves on the back for being tolerant and inclusive and open-minded, but buy a tree, wrap a gift, and put up a little tinsel in the TRADITION(not religion) of this country and they are folding to societal pressure.

Morons!
