poll: are we too mean to the primitives?
« on: December 10, 2010, 07:47:29 AM »
Okay, time for the semi-annual poll, just ahead of the completion of voting for the top DUmmies of 2010 (voting ends Tuesday evening, 11:00 p.m. central time, 10:00 mountain time)--are we too mean to the primitives on Skins's island?

Last year about this time, the eventual winner of 2009, the "greenbriar" primitive, was bawling and whining on two different web-sites, about how we were being "mean" to her, and now this year the gigantic primitive's bawling and whining about how we're being "mean" to him, a poor old fat guy.

It seems a yearly tradition, like the migration of geese, about this time.  The very first top DUmmie, the long-gone dysfunctionalAmerican primitive, was doing the same thing years and years ago.

For people who seem to stress "nuance," the primitives sure the Hell don't seem to know what "nuance" is.

The gigantic primitive, for example--it's not his physical flab and bulk that we're mocking; it's the fat and flab and lard and blubber and grease and suet and bulk and slime of his piss-poor attitude about people and things other than himself, and his pompous arrogant flatulent opinion of himself and his "gifts."

Ditto for the subway cat.

For the record--and franksolich has been around here since the DUmpster first got started--decent and civilized people have at no time mocked, derided, or ridiculed primitives in true distress.  The DUmpster's the biggest and most-trafficked forum here on conservativecave; I challenge any doubters to to through all of these threads and comments, to find a single instance where anyone here has made fun of a primitive in true distress.

God gave us judgement to evaluate people, and we're supposed to use it.

And franksolich for one thinks it's been used rather well, by all members of conservativecave.

Coach, I voted, "sometimes, but rarely," as there's a couple of us who do go "off the deep end" any and every time there's a primitive in distress, IMO.  Ya know what?  That's their right.  My experiences formed me, and their experiences formed them.  I'm not going to judge other members here for what I perceive, either rightly or wrongly, as someone being too harsh on a primitive (only IMO).  To each their own.

No,not in the least.
When one wanders off the island and tecnically ceases at that point to be a primitive they are treated here basically civil.
I know there are exceptions and also some that come and don`t act in a way deserving of civility.

For those that stay on the island that extols hatred, cheers on violence, destruction of property and death of all that disagree with far left political views they should be mocked, ridiculed and excoriated at every turn.

I don't think Charlie Manson himself could be mean enough to them. What we do no here is just words. Far less harmful/potent than what they do in real life. In many instances, what they do brings some kind of harm to another being.

**** them, I say! I chose "No."

That's pretty much my own attitude, sir.

All we do is mock and deride, which are only words.

"Sticks and stones may break my back, but words can never hurt me;" that sort of deal.

The primitives, on the other hand, are using more than just mere words, draining the public treasury, selling out to the enemies of all that makes America great, being an insufferable burden (financial, emotional, physical) on their families and friends, and pigheadedly refusing to express any sort of gratitude to a people and a society which keeps them alive; not only alive, but flourishing.

Rectal apertures, all of them, the primitives.

I voted sometimes but rarely, I prefer to not comment on people who obviously and admittedly have a mental illness or a physical illness.

I voted sometimes, but rarely.

Every so often, someone gets carried away in their comments, and they go too far. It very rarely happens, and is usually squashed quite quickly either by the poster themself or another member...even more rarely by a mod, if ever.

I think most of us are of the mindset of not being willing to sink to the level of the primitives...even when provoked.

Which says a whole lot of good stuff about CC Members!  :cheersmate:

It's tempting, at times.

Of course it is.

The difference between us and them....that while we may make some negative comments...we - most of us, anyhow - do not wish death and destruction on them, or say we should round them all up and kill them. All of which has been said about us many a time.

I voted no. Some of those on DUmp are just dupes and really don't know what they are doing to the Country.
But to the others, which seems to be the majority of them, like the liberals and progressives, I'm sorry for being mean at all. They're ruining/trying to ruin this Country. Those that partake in that stance get no sympathy from me at all.

The primitives are a lot meaner to us than we are to them by several orders of magnitude. This place allows libs to post here while Skinner has his commisars mods purge ban anyone who shows even the slightest dissent.

Quite possibly because "difference of opinion" is all that you may be seeing.

That's the superficial difference, like the surface of the water in a river.

The water under the surface is something else.

Different values.  Different life-styles.  Different theologies.  Different responses and reactions to the same problems in real life.  Different attitudes.  Different perceptions.

It's something more than just a difference in opinions.
