"Botany" (a phony) knows this because another Obama (a phony) supporter, Chrissy Matthews (a phony) said so:

I just saw the unedited version of Palin hunting; She is a phony
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 12:44 PM by Botany

This is from somebody who just shot a deer 5 days ago. She is a phony when it comes to
her outdoor skill set.

Her Daddy had to work the bolt action on her rifle. The story is that he had to load it too.

The rifle she was using was not "sighted in" or she is a terrible shot. A .30 caliber rifle w/ a
scope should be able to put 5 out of 6 rounds in a 12" circle @ 200 yards. Somebody who has never
shot a gun in their life can learn how to shoot w/a scope in about 2 hours.

WHEN IT BECAME CLEAR THAT HER OWN GUN WAS NOT "SIGHTED IN" SOMEBODY ELSE HANDED HER
A DIFFERENT GUN W/ A LIVE ROUND IN THE CHAMBER AND WITH THE SAFTEY OFF TOO.

SHE HAD TO BE TOLD TO REST THE RIFLE ON SOMETHING TO GET A BETTER SHOT.

SHE DID NOT CLEAR THE GUN OR PUT THE SAFTEY ON AFTER SHE HAD FINALLY HIT THE CARIBOU AND
SHE KEPT HER FINGER ON THE TRIGGER.

It took 6 shots and 2 different rifles to hit the animal who was just standing still.

Her Daddy had to tell her to make sure the animal was dead but she did not know how to
do that. You poke the animal w/ the end of your gun or kick it lightly with your boot. She stood
about 10 feet away and said, "It is dead."

I would not be surprised that somebody else off camera shot the Caribou.

Face it. The DUmmies are right on this one.
This "hunt" was an embarrassing fiasco from beginning to end.
She may have fired a rifle before, but it sure didn't show.
Someone on her staff should be fired for allowing her to be put in that situation.

I disagree, it was more of a situation of a father hovering a bit too much, but that kind of dynamic is unique in every family.  He assured her the weapon was sighted in, it proved not to be when she missed and he tested it later, BFD.  She seemed totally comfortable cutting it up, which is a huge plus over 'way too many in our society in either gender.

I don't know about anyone else but I was taught to never use the safety catch. The *only* effective "safety" is an empty chamber. If you can't jack in a round quickly enough to blast at the animal you spot then you probably have no business shootin' at it.

Suuuuurrrrrreeeeee.   Scope allows a better sighting but 12" at 200 yards ain't gonna happen for any newbie unless they have real latent talent.  It's keeping the barrel on target between pulling the trigger and it exiting the end of the weapon.  Also, for the first few times I was shooting at bigger game my heart was pumping, adrenaline flowing, and the shots were wild. Now add in that my father (God rest his soul) is over my shoulder and there are cameras on me and nothing is going to go where I want it too.

On anther note, I have seen a great difference now that I wear vision correcting glasses. Nobody could sight in a rifle for me. In fact, switching different glasses will move my shot group up to 2 inches at 100 yards. IIRC Palin wears glasses.

If ignorance were an energy source the DUmp would be Saudi Arabia.

I have to disagree on one point here. Any good rifle should be abale to put rounds within a 1/2 inch circle at 200 to 300 yards. I have fired a XM-21 and while it is/was used for snipers as their weapon when I was in the Army any decent commercail rifle of most calibers are just as capable of doing the same.

I believe that the DUmb**** was saying 12 inches, not one-half of an inch.  Either way, you're right.

Not saying that the hardware can't do it. I'm saying that a newbie with the most accurate scope and optimized rifle and round will not be able to put those shots in there for at least 600-1000 rounds.  IMHO an adept shooter can get a bad weapon to perform well, while an inexperienced shooter with the top line will perform not so good.  Clearly better than with shit but...experience is king.

I should also have added keeping it where you want it during the trigger pull.

Didn't anyone notice her old man fell on his ass when he was carying her gun? Before that they said it was a "varmit rifle" Maybe a 243 I thought. She can't handle the kick of a real big game rifle. When he fell on it I said to my wife "that gun is dead" Did you ever drop a scoped rifle and have it not shoot? I have!

It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

Just a guess, but between being governor, the vice-presidential run, writing 2 books, taking care of still 3 kids and helping with a grand, doing book tours and speeches, and helping Todd fish...maybe she's slightly out of practice?      I was a great shot a few years ago, but not so great now.  Have shot everything from .22 pistol to rifle to shotgun to 7MM rifle, but need to be reminded how to load a muzzleloader every time I go to a rendezvous.  Big deal.

YouTube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW0Xx4DXkYk&feature=player_embedded

For her BIG HUNT on national TV, Sarah Palin was true to form, decked out in ALL NEW hunting gear, fresh from the Cabela's catalogue.

Amusing.

What was amazing, was what we saw on TV:

Sarah Palin didn't bring her own rifle to the hunt. Hmmm....
.
Sarah Palin wondered whether the rifle kicked, revealing she had never shot a single bullet out of this gun in her entire life.  Hmmmmm.
.
Sarah Palin apparently didn't sight in the rifle beforehand, and neither did anyone else with her.  Hmmmm.
.
Sarah Palin did not chamber her own rounds because she apparently didn't know how to load the rifle.  Hmmmmmm.
.
Sarah Palin shoots five times and misses.  Not misses the shoulder of the beast.  Not misses the heart or lungs of the beast.  She missed the whole damn animal which is standing broadside!  Hmmmmmm

After finally killing the small Caribou, she quotes none other than Ted Nugent, who is in the process of being banned from hunting in 36 states for shooting over bait.

Wow.   Just wow.

Anyone think this woman has ever hunted anything before?

Anyone want to go out in the woods with this lady while she is holding a loaded gun?

Not me!

Could it be (just maybe?), that Palin's hunting prowess is a complete fiction?

It sure would explain all the new clothes!

She went shooting in an earlier episode and did just fine. I think this was just their father-daughter thing. Besides, just because she's goes hunting with "the guys" (Todd & Dad) doesn't mean she always, or even usually, done the shooting. Might be something she does only rarely and that's the reason for the fatherly advice. I've gone with my husband and sons many times and never do the shooting. I still say, "I went hunting" because that's what the trip was for.

She has a DUmmie liberal on her TV crew. Why else did an unedited version ever get out.
