Open Letter to DU Administrators: Please Mirror Wikileaks

I posted a call for the Democratic Underground to mirror wikileaks. That thread was locked and I was told to contact DU administrators with my request via the contact page. I have done as requested and am now posting an open letter asking you to join me in contacting skinner. Skinner's email address is skinner@democraticunderground.com .

Write what you please, but this is what I sent Skinner and I ask you to send something similar to this open letter:

Subject: Please Mirror Wikileaks

Dear Skinner,

Wikileaks.ch describes itself as "currently under heavy attack." Several world governments, with the help of large corporations, are attempting to deny wikileaks a place to live on the internet. Wikileaks also faces a distributed denial of service attack. Make no mistake, these attacks are not about keeping the information in the cables secret. That cat is out of the bag. No, it is attempt to prevent the people from reading the cables and knowing the truth. And so, wikileaks has issued a call for websites to mirror wikileaks.ch. What that means is that a website agrees to host the content on wikileaks, so that even if wikileaks goes down, the content is still available on the mirrors. In short, it ensures that the people will always be able to see the reflection of their government in the mirror.

This is a call for the Democratic Underground to help protect free speech by creating wikileaks.democraticunderground.com. Here is a link for more information: http://wikileaks.ch/mass-mirror.html

4. Welcome to DU - we are locking this thread as well.
   You were directed to submit your request directly to the administrators of the site in the last lock. You can do that by either contacting them by PM or email, or posting in the Ask the Administrators forum. What you can't do is rally the troops to try and get the administrators of the site to do something you want done.

I have watched that video of the chipmunk and Keith Olbermann a gazillion times and it still makes me laugh.

When you think they have taken the USS DUmmie to the lowest depths of stupidity they try and make her go deeper. This was my first time seeing it. I do believe the Prairie Dog looks to be the smarter of the 2.
