You know they think we're ****ing morons, right?
The GE commercials about bringing modern medicine to impoverished parts of India and rural China.
The Chevron, Shell, and BP commercials telling us how they're turninging environmental miracles while working on our behalf to bring us more energy.
Ecomagination
All the wonderful imagery.
A flirtatious lady doctor and a klutzy patient.
Moms holding children.
Lush, green forests.
Bullshit.
Save the ****ing money you spend on commercials and lower energy costs, you predatory, enslaving mother****ers.
Who's next ...... will Big Pharma be back pushing boner pills again?
You know, the sparkling husband primitive makes a very easy Freudian case-study for the amateur, but I'll save that for later; for the meantime, it's obvious even to a blind man that the sparkling husband primitive is afflicted with voluntary self-castration, subconscious resentment and rage that he freely and willingly emasculated himself. Even his screen-name has Fruedian implications that he wishes to identify more with his wife, than as an individual.
The impotent and misdirected rage of a eunuch, when the sparkling husband primitive goes off.
Anyway.

2. err, they are still pushing Big Boner pills on my TV
But I'm in a very red republican area. Considering how badly their party is doing, and the prez getting boooed so well, these repukes around here probably NEED the boner pills.
Every time I see those FAKE "We've gone GREEN" ads I throw things at the set. LIARS.

3. Are they using Dob Bole as their shill?
Or have they simply stopped working for his sorry, smelly, shriveled old ass?
Ewww. The projections of not just any eunuch, but of an ageing eunuch.

18. This is an enlightened town, but Viva Viagra! is enthusiastically playing on the tube.
Have you noticed how much younger the guys in the commercials are now? I guess old Hugh Hefner got it right in one when he identified Viagra as the first legal sex pill and a boon to all mankind.

4. Turn off the TV, H2S
They don't think you're a moron, they think 90% of Americans are morons.
And they're right.
They think pharmaceutical-popping primitives are morons, no doubt about it.

5. I just had a realization that not owning a TV is like a giant ignore button in my life
I have no idea what kind of crap I'm missing. I like it that way.

8. Yep, although we actually do have one.
It has been turned on once in the last 4 months cause some friends of our brought over a console to play burn-out 3.
Downside is that I only understand about half of what most people talk about.

9. I get just enough of a dose a few days a year...
when I travel for work and am stuck in a hotel (I have a hard time sleeping in hotels) and when I visit some family members. So I got to see Survivor and see what that was, etc.
I don't know how people have time to watch TV. I guess I waste time on the internet, but it uses my brain more. My greatest regret in life in always wanting more time. Can't imagine being on my deathbed and saying, damn, I shoulda watched the tube more.

6. Right. They know that their propaganda will influence enough morons
into doing whatever they want, and that will be enough of the population to prevent the rest of us from getting anything productive done.
I'd like to see Democrats conduct a mass slaughter of televisions. TV is a major player in the destruction of our country.

7. If they think we're stupid, it's probably because we let them rape us like a bunch of dumbasses.
They fill us up with corporate propaganda, and we go and vote them into office.

I'm cynical enough (or realistic enough?) to think it's about (a) tax breaks (b) PR.

16. "Chemicals are essential to life."
So only dirty hippies complain against chemical companies!
"Oil companies are investing in solutions, while others (liberals, hippies, blame-America-firsters) only complain."
Who owns the idea of "carbon footprints"? The mega-polluters who spend the most on chummy TV commercials about it.
Next:
"Soylent Green: it's People Food."
Well now, franksolich is greatly confused.
Hasn't it been the primitives alleging "better living through chemistry," what with their incessant and expensive demand for taxpayer-paid mood-altering pharmaceuticals? All those drugs to lessen the natural consequences of their behavior?
Normally, one would think the primitives worship the pharmaceutical companies.

17. You know what? They're right.
This country is full of ignorant, apathetic morons. Most people here prefer comfortable illusions to uncomfortable facts. It's taken me 8 years to accept it, but there you go.
Oh my.
What was that grafitti I once saw on a wall in London, in a neighborhood infested by British primitives?--"Don't adjust your mind; reality's to blame."
