With such a high profile case and all the leaks coming out of the PD, it is no wonder there are contradictions here.
The last thing California needs at this time is another OJ case---in terms of money spent to investigate and find a Perp and place them on trial that will cost the State a couple million bucks.
The Victim is dead, some Bozo who acted odd killed themselves, perfect. Case closed and on to the next one.
