Early March or April morning , standing on the bow of a flats boat, out on the flats off of Key West....just as the fish start to wake up and move about in the shallow water.

Casting out, slowly reeling in a neon green lure with a great little wiggle.....zippppp, grab....a 3-4foot barracuda takes off with my lure.

Bringing him into the boat....knowing he's the first catch of the day, hoping he's the first of many, and that he's the biggest catch of the day.

Collecting $60 from M at the end of the day....for kicking his ass all over the flats.   :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

It only happens if barracuda is the species of choice. He kicks mine if it's bonefish. It's unpredictable for tarpon and permit.

Having my little girl come over to me, jump into my arms, and say, "I love you, Daddy."

Glee.  Don't ask why.  (Maybe it has something to do with the next one.)

Putting on a backpack and escaping into the mountains with my camera away from the day hikers.

It's peaceful out there.

Of course, I have no camera, backpack, supplies or mountains at the moment.  :banghead:

Guess I need to hit REI and an electronics store and move back to the Northwest.

For me the greatest pleasure came in threes.

Hearing my babys cry after birth,  The very warm blanket placed on me after the birth and the cup of tea given to me to drink.

Today, a fire in the fireplace as a blizzard roars about the house, a good book,  the smell of Turkey cooking, bread baking all at the same time.----HEAVEN!!!!!

Yeah! :II:
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

My wireless connected laptop sitting on the left arm of my Lay-Z-Boy recliner...

A VERY strong left arm/hand...

Infinite Internet porn...

The SyFy HD Channel on the LED-LCD HD TV in front of me...
