DUmbass seeks clarity on Kendrick Meek issue
« on: October 29, 2010, 10:58:13 AM »
A sticky issue if ever there was one.

Should they ask a solidly, credentialed liberal to stand aside to clear the way for a power-hungry, unprincipled opportunist?

Surely a poll at DU will decide once and for all how Real ProgressivesTM can take a controversial decision between pragmatism and principle and bring it to a consensus that will serve the common man!

Right?

Poll question: You're Kendrick Meek. What do you do?
We all know how this SHOULD have been handled, the support he SHOULD have gotten, but he didn't and that brings us to the reality now. So, given the state of things as they really are, what would you do?

Poll result (48 votes)
Go the distance!  (22 votes, 46%)
Bow out, endorse Crist!  (22 votes, 46%)
I'm like gateley, flip flopping all over the place. Good thing I'm NOT him!  (2 votes, 4%)
Other?  (2 votes, 4%)

There have been a lot of threads complaining about Meeks/Crist fiasco.  None have entertained the idea that Crist is preferable to most Floridians over a known liberal. If Crist wasn't running, Rubio would still have the lead and probably win. I just like seeing so many of them having to support a former RINO just to try and keep Rubio out.

Bubba was in town stumping for Meeks the other day. When the whole step aside thing blew up they all thought Bubba originated it and was here to ask Meeks to do so. Today according to Meeks it was Crist who asked but he's planning on sticking it out.

He's a DUmmie though and we all know how they lie so we'll see.

At this point I have more respect for the democrat Meek. Charlie can't win and is in it for vanity purposes only.

The poll results are showing a lot of racism toward Meeks.

The poll results are showing a lot of racism toward Meeks.

What bothers me--but it doesn't surprise me--is the non-nonracism betrayed by the primitives, in their general non-support of their U.S. Senate candidates from Florida and South Carolina.

They're both black guys; that should be an "automatic" then, who the primitives should support.

They were joking on the Glenn Beck radio show today that if they could get both Meek and Rubio to drop out, Crist might be able to squeak out a win.  :lmao:
