Have so many here lost their minds?
   
Some jackass at a Rand Paul rally stomps a woman. I hope they throw the book at him and then teach him how to read so he knows what has been thrown at him.

But that is not the first shot in a civil war.

We--the progressives--have endured far, far worse.

Cops, with dogs and fire hoses, attacked citizens yet Dr. King and the other brave heroes endured.

Ghandi was beaten but India became independent.

Even Eastern Europe freed itself from the USSR without violence (OK, Romanian notwithstanding, but still).

Those were actual police and soldiers doing the beatings, not some random asshole at a rally.

We have seen time and again NON-violence carries the day.

Why are so many people here advocating wholesale violence?

Why are the mods allowing it?


And don't give me this, "We gotta get them before they get us" non-sense.

If you believe that then go ahead and sign-off on the "pre-emptive global war on terror."

Let's stop acting exactly like everything we *thought* we ever opposed.

The irony is that the girl who got her head stomped can clearly be seen violently assaulting Rand Paul in this video from Redstate.

Good riddance to her. Violence should be avoided in most instances if it can be helped. However, there is a pretty darn good argument that can be made FOR violence in the progressives case. It may not quiet them totally, but if sure as hell puts them on notice not to screw around with certain people.

Besides...there are some in this world that just deserve a good, strong kick in the head now and again.

I would call that assault or even battery but she did suddenly and determinedly move to the window. Any reasonable person could call that a security concern. They had every right to move her away and restrain her until they ascertained her ability to be a threat.

These people are actually equating themselves with MLK and Ghandi? The closest they've come to being hosed is drinking too much and running through a sprinkler. As for Ghandi, they'd have to be willing to give up pizza and Cheeto's. That'll happen when hell freezes over.

Well, but okay, nonviolence always works best...except for the Revolutionary War, Spanish American War, Grenada, WWI & II, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Panama, etc., etc., etc...but really when Hitler invaded Europe, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Iraq invaded Kuwait, and Islamists blew up the WTC and Pentagon we really should have marched arm in arm down the street then sat down and had a hunger strike. Why I bet Hitler, Hirohito, Mussolini, Saddam, and Bin Laden would've come crying to us, ask for forgiveness and join a commune in California.

If you ground these people down and made bullets out of them the gun would misfire.

I don't know where they get it from... Ghandi may have a reputation for being peaceful, but he was anti-tax as well.
