I fully expect more tribal like violence in all races in worsening economic conditions.

Attempting to "broad brush" a racial problem in order to diffuse the facts is disingenuous.......the "Great Depression" was arguably the worse economic conditions in the past century, and racial violence seemed to be noticeably absent........with the exception of the "Bonus Riot" of 1932.......which was actually government created.

Please provide us the details of the last "white riot" in the US (with the exception of the one cited above)........the last time white folks burned down their own businesses and neighborhoods because of a court decision.......or the actions of a police department, or a few officers, or even a sports team......It would be silly not to acknowledge that there are severe cultural problems in the "black community" (pretty much exclusively) in America today.  I don't have the answers, but a problem exists.

The consistant theme in your discussions here seems to be your dissatisfaction with both sides of the political aisle, and to an extent you have a point.  That said, it is further disingenuous to equate them as two sides of the same coin......they are not.......at least from  our perspective, Democrats/liberals/progressives/socialists are far more dangerous to the Republic than are a few RINO's that we conservatives have to deal with.

I can speak only for myself, however I see (labels optional) the optimum political scenario in the US as a two party system with the main players being the "Republicans", and the "Conservatives"........the "left" as it is manifesting itself in America today must only be crushed into political oblivion.....cast into the dustbin of history.  We are involved in a "war against liberalism", let us pray that it remains a war of "words"

Perhaps you equivocate thusly to present a persona of "rational discussion"........if so, it is certainly appreciated, however, "straddling the fence" euphemistically on a conservative message board, accomplishes little to resolve issues.......it simply generates meaningless dialog., and fosters in some of us a suspicion of a "hidden agenda".

Many of us have read thoroughly your posts and discussions at OET, and DU, and when we logically compare your stated positions on issues there, with that which your proffer here.......the suspicion becomes inevitable,.  particularly when we recall the remarks you made about this site and its members on OET the last time you graced us with your presence.

This is certainly not stated to make you feel unwelcome.....quite the reverse.....we welcome all reasonable and intelligent discussions........this is stated to simply remind the membership that you have been less than straightforward with us in the past.

A decent callout.

First time I came here, a few of your members offered to shoot me.  Fair enough.

If you read through my post on DU or OET or the MarketTicker or Business Insider or Zero Hedge (Jake3463 are my names there) I have one major concern, the banking system in the free world right now.

All other issues I'm rather open to opinions and change my mind frequently.

Frankly, and I've stated this before, I don't really care who wins the midterms.  I see the banking oligarchy as temporary winners either way.

I have no hidden agenda, my agenda is out there for broad daylight.  If I comment on other issues, I'm commenting on things I have opinions but no real passion.

The enactment than repeal of mark to market offends me as a professional to a degree it brings me into a rage.  The interference of my profession by the political class enrages me.  Off-sheet liabilities not being on balance sheets enrages me. It is an assault on our way of life and honesty in business.

That is my hidden agenda if one exist.  Anything else is me spouting off bullshit.

I'm a pissed off accountant because the government in conjunction with lobbying of industry has prevented me from presenting the truth to investors, employees, and management and that is my ****ing function in society.

At the end of the day you are just another "Blame Bush" Liberal with a typical case of BDS.

ANd as I've stated before and this post seems to prove...you'll don the kee pads and do whatever it takes to ensure that your guy isn't held accountable or blamed for the sad state our country is in right now.

Forgive me, I think America's problems are bigger than the President or the Congress.

I think we have a cultural problem right now.

Where do you thing that problem cam from?  You don't think the left's blatant destruction of the American family traditions and their promotion of government-controlled support had something to do with it, do you?  Why worry about old age when there's Uncle Sam?  Why worry about daddy when there's Uncle Sam?  Why worry about a job when there's Uncle Sam?

Possibly, would take me time to digest that.

I would put it more of an honor problem and I have some different theories.  However that could have been one cause.

I grew up being bussed to inner-city schools in the name of fairness, where the majority of the residents were on government support.  Housing, food, child care.  I saw repeatedly, girls pregnant one year after another with no family structure or guidance to keep them from making the choices they did.  They were assured that the government would provide assistance for them if their family was unwilling.  I was eleven... some of these girls were sixteen and still in the fifth grade.

I didn't have that experience.  We've probably seen different things in life is my guess.

You're kiddin', right?

Let me ask ya an honest question.

Do you, or do you not, agree, the DemonRats have tried to keep the Black population on the government Res?

That's a straightforward question. Ya think ya might be able to answer it "straightforward"?

I admit, I'll 'prolly have to take one of my nitros if ya do, seein' as how you answer so many "straightforward" questions!

So you have no opinion of unending government welfare being a harmful influence on the people addicted to it?  It is a core tenant of liberalism and Progressive movements thoughout history.  "The past is dead, long live the future."  The left has worked to destroy the family in this country through social promotion of single motherhood, denigration of the father figure, and support for the welfare state as a substitute.

It is really not an issue I have spent much thought on.  I'm an accountant.  Most of my focus is looking at business and how it can behave more ethically because I've seen somethings that I viewed as unethical in my life.

I like economics.  I really don't know.  That is me being honest I would have to take a look at it and read on the history and get back to you.

Not a copout.

Not something I've paid that much attention to.  I'd have to read more on black history combined with the democratic party.  I know right now blacks are the worst effected by the depression.  I'd have to do further analysis on why.

When I was 11 and starting 7th grade, about 30 of us Air Force brats, all white IIRC, were bussed to inner city Baldwin JHS in Montgomery, AL.  This was in 1970 and racial tensions were super high.  I sure got to see the ugliness of black on white racist hatred.  We couldn't really fight back, outnumbered as we were.  I got my share of being tripped, food thrown at me and above all, the nasty, bitter comments.
Most of the kids were dumber than a box of rocks to boot.  I am not kidding that my Math teacher was trying to get students to answer questions like 5 + 4 = 9.  Some of the teachers were senile.  I'll never forget spending an entire damn week on one page in our Social Studies book; the topic was the Rock of Gibraltar and this teacher rambled on and on about nothing.  I just took my library books to class so I could at least read something.
I'll never get that year of wasted education back either.  And it certainly gave me a perspective of how racist blacks can be towards those not like themselves.
At age 11 I didn't give a damn about WHY the dumbasses decided to bus us there, only that we suffered.  After all, the idiots who decide on these kinds of policies aren't sending THEIR kids to inner city schools; they're sending them to private schools.
It's like living almost on the Mexican border; we have stupid ass liberals telling us how WE are supposed to feel and act when they aren't affected one little bit.  Why would we listen to their ignorant asses?  Unless one has experienced something, one doesn't get to tell others how they are supposed to feel.
Liberals need to get out in the real world and start doing the actual paying for their idiotic policies instead of making everyone else foot the bill.

Personally, I knew a man that was going to college and living on "welfare."  He was enrolled in maybe half a dozen programs...food stamps, rent assistance, heating assistance, Aid for Dependant Children, medicaid, and one or two others.  He was offered a Work-Study program at the college.  He made $5 an hour (yeah, it was THAT long ago.)  For every $2 he made, every program he was in reduced his benefits by $1.  Sounds OK...until you realize that Uncle Sam's way of "helping" him support himself was to penalize him $6 for every $5 he earned honestly.  Our welfare programs are not set up to  help anyone become self-sufficient, they are set up to be a trap.

You honestly have a problem with me reading some statistics and reading two opinions and than coming to a conclusion?

Because I think we'd both agree that one of the most important things, if not THE most important thing to ensure one's success in life is (drum roll please) EDUCATION.

Yet the black and Hispanic communities tend to frown on education, considering it indoctrination into "whitey's" world.  I'm sure you've heard of the expression of "oreo" or "coconut"  (black/brown on the outside, white on the inside).  It's considered a BAD thing to have an education.  And then people wonder why the cycle continues for generation after generation.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there are uneducated white hicks too--all over peopleofwalmart.com, for starters.

I might ask Cynthia how Obie became POTUS if whites feared him so.  He couldn't have gotten elected solely on black votes, so a few whites must have voted for him.

This is the typical liberal race card fall back to every question, every situation.

If you are half as smart as you would have us believe, you know of the argument that the welfare state in this country rewards minorities without fathers in house.

You're just slingin' shit to see what sticks and lets you play ignorant of a topic you don't wish to debate!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

Hey hey now, i'm PROUD to be a coconut.   lol    Remember also that a lot of hispanic kids simply can't afford to go to college and/or don't make grades good enough for a scholarship.   I'm blessed that my Dad was educated and stressed education to me and my siblings.   The thing that makes me boil is the knucklehead hispanics in school who purposely don't want to assimilate and educate themselves; they always pay later.    I got relatives like this unfortunately.

I don't think that the "education" necessarily refers to college, but at the very least learning close to proper English, and basic literacy in high school.
