I hate that people are calling for this GOP tsunami in November. Anything less than a takeover of both houses will be spun as a win for the dems.

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but most of these congressional races are not nationalized. And the voting populace isn't even close to paying attention.

These kind of predictions, though it's fun to watch the agony of the DUmmies, make me very nervous.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

You make a good point. Sparky and I here in NH are probably among the very few paying attention to the Primary Contenders.  Most folk won't even focus until after Labor Day or until the actual contenders are set for the Main Event in November.  Of course in NH politics can become more than a mere spectator sport, more than a little dirty.  Big money here is mere tuppence elsewhere.  :whatever:

NH was also ground zero for infiltration by the Libertarian Porcupine Nation so we are doubly blessed with strange politics.  Fall is a great time in NH the leaves, apples, cider, at many fairs  find harness racing, strip shows, the John Birtch Society, fruits, nuts, giant pumpkins you name it.........Meh, maybe we should hold elections on the opening day of deer season and requirement that one must show a purple voting finger to get one's hunting license issued that day only.   :evillaugh:

That would be like going from the Presidential Suite to a 1 room shack, I can't imagine her doing that.
Not to worry though - Bella Pelosi will never lose the Medusa Botox frozen face and thousand mile stare.

It will make my day if the moment BellaDonna has to turn the reins over to a repub, someone from the gallery manages to run up and throw a bucket of water on her so we can all watch her melt on live TV!

Actually, the one thing I would change about voting here is that they end same-day voter registration.  Keeps the college kids and Massholes at bay for a while, at least.

Yup.  It is pretty lax.

HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE
IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

WHO CAN REGISTER
New Hampshire residents who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, and a United States Citizen, may register with the town or city clerk where they live up to 10 days before any election. You may also register on election day at the polling place. The town clerk's office can inform voters of what proof of qualification they should bring to register.

There is no minimum period of time you are required to have lived in the state before being allowed to register.  You may register as soon as you move into your new community.
HOW TO REGISTER
1) Apply to your town or city clerk's office.  You will be required to fill out a standard voter registration form and will be required to show proof of age, citizenship and domicile.
2)  It may be easier for you to register with your community's Supervisors of the Checklist.  By law they are required to meet on the Saturday 10 days prior to each election.  Check the local newspaper(s) or call your clerk's office for the date and time of such meeting.
3)  Qualified individuals may also register to vote at the polling place on election day at all elections.  You will be asked to show proof of age, citizenship, and domicile.
ABSENTEE REGISTRATION
If you meet the state's voter requirements and qualifications and are unable to register in person because of physical disability, religious beliefs, military service, or because of temporary absence, you may register by mail.  You should request an absentee voter registration affidavit and a standard voter registration form from your town/city clerk.  The absentee voter registration affidavit must be witnessed and then both the affidavit and the voter registration form are to be returned to your town/city clerk.

Frank, just a curiosity question, if the Republicans gain control of the House, what happens to Nancy Pelosi? will she just resign her seat? will Democrats point fingers at her where she has no choice but resign? or would she try to become Minority Leader? or just go back to being a plain old Congresswoman?

IMHO I don't even think she retains Minority Leader status.  Her and Steny Hoyer have never seen eye to eye so look for a challenge from him...look for the Congressional Black Caucus to make a push to get one of their radicals into position as the ML.

I honestly think that the more radical Obama acolytes in the Democrat party push her aside as not being Liberal enough or supportive enough of the Presidents policies.

That'll doom them in 2012.  'Course, they're too blind to see that.

The fatal flaw in Democratic "thinking" has alway sbeen that they lose beause they didn't go to the left enough.

We're already seeing that opinion being voiced among the chattering class in the MSM and in threads on DU.

I see no reason to think they won't try some radical shift farther towards Communism when/if they lose complete control in 74 days.

I think the new Republican majority leader should bring a huge gavel with them when they take their place.  That would just kill the rats. What could they say without being hypocritical? (Not that that ever stops them)
