Best Illness Ever
« on: July 29, 2010, 07:54:17 AM »
Ear infection.

The muffled sounds and high-low sensitivity gets annoying but there's no pain or ill effects, but where this *really* pays-off is the vertigo.

Dude, I am so-o-o-o stoned! Normally you gotta pay good money to feel like this.

Colors would be a nice touch but oh well.

Nevertheless, I won't be driving the 70 miles to work. I sure as heck would not be able to pass a field sobriety test as I can barely navigate my own living room.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Been there, done that several times and kept on driving heavy equipment....nothing like a natural high, uh?

The first time it happened, all the doors in the house looked slanted, car/truck/equipment never stopped moving even when you were about to break off the brake pedal mashing it...and an eye doctor sold me a pair of glasses I didn't need...another honest eye doctor was the one that finally told me what my problem was and sent me in the proper direction.

I seem to keep vertigo now...I've gotten used to it and seldom pay it any attention.

Well, I've never really had that with an ear infection, just a lot of inescapable pain.

Actually sounds like it might bring back some unfortunate memories of my misspent youth!

You probably had the typical ear infection that most of us got more frequently as kids, and with colds as adults.

Sounds like Snugs has an "inner ear" infection. Doesn't have the pain, which makes it harder to detect. I think the vertigo is one of the predominant symptoms. They are hard to get rid of, and can make one sicker than a dog.

Only reason I know anything about them is because my ex mother in law used to get them a lot.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Snugs.

Take all your medicine, even if you are feeling better!!
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

Just admit it. You've been smoking the reefer. lol.

Seriously, I guess if you can enjoy an ear infection, more power to you. It has been a looooong time since I have had one. They are absolutely NO fun at all with a baby. That much I do know. Tubes help that though. Help, not cure. And I reiterate help NOT cure.

So, as odd as this must sound, please continue to enjoy your ear infection, and I hope you get better once you are ready to be free of your ear infection high!  :-)

The last time I had the flu with a fever was around 1996... except for the room spinning, it was kind of enjoyable.
