Or maybe it is, just not the kind that you're thinking. 9-11 happened on a Tuesday. And by that Wednesday evening, there was ABSOLUTELY NO REFERENCE to "Bill Clinton" and "wag the dog" in a google engine, iLor, askJeeves or any other I could get my hands on.

That night (Tuesday), the web was just FULL of them. By the end of the week, there were practically none.

No I am not kidding. I promise on my life, this is how it went down because I LIVED IT.

Now it seems it's happened again. Once upon a time, the web was full of 'the Bushes vacationed with the bin Ladens (but you have to understand they are a huge family and it wasn't *that* bin laden, blah blah was the caveat). Links were everywhere, Google was our friend. Admittedly, this is not as systematic as "wag the dog", or at least I didn't notice that it was, but I am reminded of this because of the other. There has been a span of some years, but after all of that...nothing?

I am putting on my tin foil hat, because for real.
