OK ----They argued that simply lying is not illegal.
What can we get in trouble for lying about in any other field.?
Let's see, Stolen Valor, lying to get into the good graces of the comunity and all the free drinks, food and perhaps discounts on furniture or a car-------few employers demand to see a DD14 any more.
This Judge needs to be slapped, how would he feel if his daughter became engaged to a "War Hero" who was found to be a dead beat that never served a day in the military.?----
There have been cases where men have managed to get documents forged and actually get officer status and be placed in jobs of Military doctors and or in charge of hundreds of men and woman in the service.
ARGGGGGGG, so if lying about past experience is not a crime when the person benefits from their lie,--say I myself get documents forged and open a practice as a medical doctor, BUT do not treat patients just hang out at the country club, the chamber of commerce and get in the good graces of the mayor to get a break on zoning, A pass from the building expects, all on the word that I am valuable to the comunity because of a simple lie.---
I am reminded of a time when in VA. there was a very bad 3-4 car crash in one of the tunnels in Norfork. A woman jumped out of her car and ran to help one of the drivers and told him she was an RN and would help him. She asked him if he was holding because the police were on their way. She told him she would help him out but he had to give her his stash and she would go with the ambulance to the hospital and return it to him there.
The driver all discombobulated pointed to the glove box and two bags of 2 pounds of pot stuffed inside.
The RN took the stash and ran for her car and drove off, just a simple lie, no problem there just the drug charges she never faced.
A simple lie, I am an American Citizen, I am a War Hero, I am on welfare and have 9 kids, I have a licence to wire your home, ----Yeah right.
