Detroit Public School board chief accused of lewd acts

Otis Mathis, Detroit Public Schools board president, is fighting for his job and is under investigation after being accused by the superintendent of fondling himself in front of her.

After submitting his resignation Thursday, Mathis sent a letter to colleagues Friday saying he wants to stay on the board and blaming "ongoing health problems" for his "poor judgment."

The letter came the same day The Detroit News published online a two-page complaint from Superintendent Teresa Gueyser that accused Mathis of touching himself during a private meeting this week. She called it his "usual habit" and wrote she's documented his "inappropriate behavior for months."

"On many occasions, I have asked him not to touch himself," she wrote in the Wednesday letter to Anthony Adams, board vice president.

Gueyser did not return phone calls. She filed a report with the district's Office of Public Safety and warned in the letter Mathis' actions "have exposed the district to a lawsuit." A district spokeswoman confirmed police are investigating.

This whole ordeal is creepy. What is worse with Jennings as school Czar more to come I am afraid!

Actually, that's after they pulled a lot of the classes he repeated.  In reality, he left with a 0.98 GPA.  Yes, he is a member of the "Square Root Club."

Somewhere in the back of my mind I keep thinking that Taxachusetts had one of these heroes too.  An ESL diversity type guy unable to spell library or dictionary if you spotted him all the letters.  (Maybe heard about him on Howie Carr ?)

Ammunition.   She was in the middle of her contract negotiations and showed her cards to remove him from the equation.   

Superintendents are the worst kind of politicians.
