Leona Beldini, a former Jersey City deputy mayor convicted in connection to last summer's epic FBI sting, is scheduled to be sentenced today in federal court in Newark on bribery charges.

The 75-year-old Democrat was found guilty in February of accepting $20,000 in illegal campaign contributions in exchange for promising to help secure development approvals. She faces up to 10 years in prison for each of the two bribery counts, but could be sentenced to much less time under federal guidelines....
