Am I missing something ? Is there a point or function this this display ?

I always remember just one flag on a nice pole next to the president yours ago and personally I have never been able to figure out why all the flags . It is not just that there are 6 or 8 it's the way they are folded to look like a row of neck ties .

One country one flag . I can't recall when this started it seems to be around the time that bush slimed his way into the whitehouse and the TV came on with all the graphics .

I know it's a little thing to pick about but it just bugs the hell out of me . Why don't we just paint the entire USA red , white and blue , just paint everything , the buildings and streets and cars and the clothes .

Let their disgust for our national symbol begin.

   Another thing that gets me is when I'm watching an older movie and I've seen before WITHOUT any flags, someone put the flag in it, I thought I was crazy, but other have said the same thing.

Every time a normal American sees Old Glory they are reminded of the greatness of this country, which makes the Dummies lives hell because they're working so hard to convince everyone that it's shit. They can't tear the U.S. down and rebuild it in their image until they can get enough people believing their paranoid fantasies, so patriotic symbols really cramp their style.

U.S. flags are second only to Christian symbols in the Holy-Water-On-A-Vampire effect they have on DUmmies. Third would be the sight of a job application form, I'm sure.

Just ordered me a 3'x5' Navy jack, the first one that has flown on all Navy ships since 9/12/2002. It used to be for the oldest commisioned ship in the Navy (excluding the USS Constitution)

It's the flag I have as an avatar................Oh yeah dummies :bird:

From the title I thought they were talking about Obama and the plethora of flags for his race speech.  I thought they would be pissed that at the end he even said "God Bless America."

Should they regain the WH, things like flags in the background and flag pins and fighting al Qaeda in Iraq and all sorts of things will suddenly be "OK" because, you know, they're the one's holding the reigns.  If the Dems held the WH and Congress for 20 years and the economy was having the same thing happening to it that's happening now, to them it would be a good thing, a timely correction, and anything bad would be those damn 3 Republicans still left in the House.

We all know this, but as a reminder:  With libs, it's not what's being done, it's whether or not a Dem or Republican is in power when it happens.  They are never going to accept responsibility for their own failed policies.  And why should we expect them to?  They haven't yet.
