There was a fair amount of anti-Turkish sentiment there. Also, there was more pro-Israel demonstrating hee than I captured. But it was mostly about this mosque. One guy who spoke drove all the way from Florida; he was a terrific speaker and mentioned that, though he has Irish heritage and proudly marches on St. Patrick's Day. he was always an American first. There were many, many people there who lost family and friends in the attack.
Man, compare the normal people here to the, well, when you get down to it freaks at left-wing anything. The police were fantastic; I don't want to detract from their great work, they were very generous in their treatment of the crowd, in fact I'd go so far to say they were unquestionably with us--you know, they didn't make too big a deal about people walking to and fro across different barricades. But they did know they were dealing with people who weren't looking to give
them any trouble at all, as opposed to the low-impulse-control moonbats and assorted Dem loons.
