I moved
« on: May 14, 2010, 05:04:31 PM »
Made a fairly big move recently.  From southeast Wyoming to an area near the Big Horns in northern Wyoming.  Good country if you like cows, horses and fishing like I do.

Took a position with a new company, too.  I've been watching for an opening with them for more than 4 months.  They operate in three areas of this state and I was hoping something where I now am would open up.

Just thought I'd share some good news.  Just got the internet at home and catching up on the happenings I've missed.

Glad the move went well. I hate the moving process but am usually glad to have done it. Good luck with the new post!

lol.  I can just see me in southern Cal!  Half the people would think I was a movie extra for a new western and the other half would be able to cite a law my existence was breaking!

But, we still have a little extra room here, come on out/up when you can.

I'm jealous.  You've got much more beautiful scenery than I do.  DH and I wanted to retire up by Cody, but his post Army career is in intelligence and biometrics.  Easier to find work on Ft. Huachuca.  But, we're young yet; it's still HIS ultimate destination.  I don't know about that.  Anyway, I'm sure you're still pinching yourself to make sure it's real! :cheersmate:

Cody is just a jump away.  If you get out there for even a vacation, send me a message.  I like meeting people!

There were a couple of openings for what I do in Cody and Casper, working for PacifiCorp.  Better money, but I think I want to get another year or two under my belt here (and get on a more stable financial footing) before I jump into a big move like that.

But yeah, having lived in SE Idaho, Rock Springs, and Gillette, I know and love the area, plus I could actually DRIVE and see my mother in Denver once in a while.

Good luck at your new job, man!

Will do!  We're headed up to Post Falls, ID this summer to visit DH's mom, but maybe next year we'll mosey on over to WY.
Enjoy God's country!
