Baghdad Rocked As McCain, Cheney Visit

By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA – 5 hours ago

BAGHDAD (AP) — Explosions rocked Iraq's capital on Monday as Vice President Dick Cheney and Republican presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain visited ahead of the fifth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion.

Helicopter gunships circled over central Baghdad and the heavily fortified Green Zone, but no details were immediately available on the cause of the explosions.

McCain, the Republican party's likely presidential nominee who has linked his political future to U.S. military success in Iraq, met Monday with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki shortly before the Iraqi leader began talks with Cheney.

The Arizona senator stressed the importance of a U.S. commitment to Iraq and warned a U.S.-Iraqi military operation to clear al-Qaida from its last urban stronghold of Mosul will be "very difficult and very important."

McCain, who arrived in Iraq on Sunday, told reporters that he also discussed with the Shiite leader the need for progress on political reforms, including laws on holding provincial elections and the equitable distribution of Iraq's oil riches.

NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

1. That is a sign that pretty much the whole of humanity doesn't like you.
If when you go somewhere, explosions insue. It's the devil beating his drum, rolling out the welcome mat for both Cheney and McCain.

More evidence that the dipshits do not comprehend who and what our enemy is..or rather, they root for the wrong side.

That is en*e*my (noun): somebody who hates or seeks to harm somebody or something.

Hmmm...our en*e*my comes  here and blow up thousands, and we should be condemned for promoting "violence" towards our en*e*my because of a t-shirt.

Yet, two of our elected officials go over to their turf, where we are now fighting them, and our en*e*my is justified for their (real) violence while our men are there...and our elected officials deserve it, cause after all, they ARE worthy of being the real objects of hate.

LL, you should know how liberals are.  They root for whatever would get their side into office, even if it means rooting for the enemy.  Liberals think bad news for the US as a whole is good news for them politically.  It makes me sick.   :censored:
