No St. Patty's thread????
« on: March 17, 2008, 09:35:51 AM »
Damn, no St. Patty's day thread? I'm disappointed here.

Anyways, me and the wife are getting ready to go out. We got all our green items together, and bringing the dog with. We're going to be in the parade with my dog, and quite a few other people to raise awareness and money for a new dog park being built here in the city. Then.... I gotta go to work, but I told my boss I'd work 4 hours today, and then 4 on one of my days off to make up for it, but afterwards, a nice dinner of corned beef brisket, cabbage and potatoes and then a few pints of Guinness. Just gotta find a new Irish pub.

TOTD: What's your favorite thing about St. Patty's? Mine is the time spent with my wife in the pub talking and being together over a pint or two.

Happy St. Patrick's, everybody.

Shit dude, that's the GA meet up thread! St. Patty's needs one of it's own!  :-)

Anyways, I will put pics up later, but Domino was a good dog even though he almost got pissed off at a bloodhound that was there... probably because he was huge as all get out and dwarfed Domino. The parade walk was only 16 blocks, so it wasn't that big of a trek... my wife handed out dog treats with little dog biscuits on them to the parade watchers on the sides of the streets..... it was fun. Until I got to work.. 4 hours of hell, but I'm gonna have a few pints and maybe a couple shots of Celtic Crossing or Jameson to forget about it.

Here's the pics. Part 1. Before the parade.

Domino making friends at the church before the parade.

Here's a couple dogs that were all decked out in their "Blarney Bling Bling".

My doggie and I sitting down for a minute... we had to wait 50 minutes or so before we walked out.

I like this one better, dammit! LOL

Anyways, here's the parade once it got going.

Domino wasn't sure what to think of all this.

Heading around downtown... I walked the dog, and my wife handed out little dog biscuits with cards about the new dog park and where to make donations at.

After the parade, had to work for at least half the day.... after that, I was ready for a couple of these!

Excellent pics!  Domino has grown up, but is still cute as ever!  :)

I had a Guinness (or two.  I lost count  :lmao:) while at the GTG.  I'd forgotten how good it was.

You had the EXACT opposite problem as I did. I had nothing to eat all day long after several beers, I was sick by 9PM.

LOL... I had to shuttle kids around. I only drink when I am in lockdown mode.

Oh... Atomic, those were excellent pictures, looks like a great time!

Shame the rest of CC wasn't there to see me nearly fall over backwards.  :rotf:  I am such a lightweight (need to work on that).
