Bachmann introduces bill to repeal health care reform
« on: March 22, 2010, 03:16:11 PM »
Washington (CNN) – Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, has introduced a bill to repeal Democrats' health care reform legislation, her office announced Monday.

President Obama and Democrats in Congress "have ignored the will of the people and have chosen to ram through their trillion-dollar health care bill despite the American people's overwhelming objection to it," Bachmann said in a written statement.

Sorry, but that bill will go nowhere. It won't even make it to committee.

It's a nice sentiment and it serves her well, but it's dead before it even gets off the ground.  :p

You're right.  It won't go anywhere but in November she will be able to look them in the eyes and say "Hey, I gave you a chance."

Concur.  Maybe now the electorate will understand that elections really DO have consequences.

I hope that all the people that support this POS bill DO live to experience the consequences of it.

I hope they live to their sons and daughters and grandchildren get denied health care. I hope they live to see their parents denied health care and just be told to go home and die.

I know the assholes that voted for it won't suffer these consequences as they will make sure they don't have to live within the very laws they pass. But for those in America that actively promoted and support this bill and think it is a great thing....

Those I hope to see suffer the consequences. I hope to see them wailing and gnashing their teeth as their loved ones are forced to suffer under the very yoke that they endorsed placing upon them.

With any luck the majority of this POS law will be struck down by the federal courts.

39 states are going to file lawsuits against the federal government on this bill...and it will go to the Supreme Court...and who has the majority in the Supreme court? :-)

The single, most important gift Bush gave us, was 2 supreme court nominees...that will vote in favor of the states.

I'm really not worried.

Ineffective perhaps.

But NOT meaningless.

IMO anyway.

I'm really not worried.

Neither am I.  See, when President Obama called out the entire Supreme Court in the SOTU, he made them all uncomfortable.  The lefties on the SCOTUS know that the political pendulum will shift back.  And when it does, it will do with a force that will shock most lefties who aren't "in the know," such as the DUmb****s.  They (the SCOTUS) know that what the House, Senate, and Obama did is plainly unconstitutional, for a myriad of reasons (without going into how they did it).  They know that the judiciary, to be really effective in this country, needs to be impartial from the executive branch.  So, they know that they are going to have to slap the executive--and legislative--branches back.  Else, how are they going to justify it when--not if--the Right rises again, and does similar things to get their agenda through?  (Not that we would, but the Left is setting all sorts of precedents with this.)

The justices will shoot down this thing 6-3, with Kennedy and Breyer--maybe--joining the conservative bloc.  If they all were offended by the incredibly crass display by Obama and the Democrats, it could wind up 9-0.  The interesting thing then happens after such a ruling was handed down--would Obama submit to the SCOTUS?  If not, then hopefully the military would remember that they take an oath to the Constitution, not the President.

The GOP will not do similar things to get their "agenda" through. They will follow the rules as the left writes them and kowtow and try to make nice with the commies.

I have zero faith in them.
