3/10 Hump Day
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:46:19 AM »
One week to St. Patty's Day...warm today and tomorrow, might hit 50 here.  Snow is melted, so if the rain predicted for this weekend isn't too horrible it might be a good time to get the rest of the tree branches out of the yard.

Memo to those thinking to buy anything made by Shark--DON'T.  I bought their handheld vac with the brush attachment.  Broken right out of the box.  Packed it back up and took it back to Kohl's.  Looks like I start saving up for a Dyson Ball to get all the damn cat hair.

Good to know about the Shark.  It WAS on my list.

Depending on where you stand today, you may get rain, wind, sun, wind, hail, wind, etc.

Spring is here.

Still raining.

Endless rain.

Relentless rain.

Unceasing rain.

Eternal rain.

Perpetual rain.

Everlasting rain.

Constant rain.

Rain without end.

Okay Frank, I think it's time you took a break from Skin's Island.  CPeg's "poetry" is obviously having an effect on your posting.

BTW--one thing I've noticed here, the stores and butcher shops are NOT doing corned beef like they used to in years past.  A couple of years back, the list for ordering corned beef (especially "grey" corned beef) was HUGE.  This year I've yet to see anyone even advertising for it.  Strange, really.

Dentist appointment this morning, then to the grind at work, and a Lenten church service tonight.

Work has been busy enough to fly by, which is nice, but frustrating because my to do list has yet to get done in its entirety in one day.  One the plus side, when it is this busy, we all have some job security, barring any serious screw-ups.

Upper 40's/low 50's for the forseeable future.  Hopefully nice slow melting.  I actually saw some grass on the golf course yesterday.  Granted, it was just a patch of it, but it's a start.

Snow last night, so my truck was frozen shut this morning. I WANT SPRING.

More rain today. :(  I'm beginning to hate the rain because there are things I want to get done, but I need a few dry days to accomplish the tasks. It seems to rain just enough rain to prevent me from getting those things done.

That's why you either 1--unplug it, 2--don't have a landline in the first place.  Biggest waste of money anymore, IMHO.

Argghhhhh!  :banghead:

My office has 2 secretaries - uh....admin assistants  :whatever:....and an office manager. Scheduling appointments is all computerized. All they have to do is fill in the f'n blanks when the showing is confirmed. Had a showing on a property at 11 this morning....the agt called the office at 9 to cancel it (fortunately I found out BEFORE I called the agt and bitched her out for not showing up after I explained late yesterday that the homeowner was not yet back in town after being gone since last week). The AA couldn't find it in the system when the agt's assistant called to cancel....so SHE IGNORED IT!!!! My seller calls me and is royally pissed.

When the AA told me she just ignored it because she couldn't find it....I told her I was looking at it (the notification that a showing was scheduled) on my computer screen. She told me I didn't need to "yell at her". That's when I said let me talk to *** (the OM). Told the OM the AA was damn lucky I hadn't called the agt and blasted her for not calling to cancel.

It doesn't matter how pretty and blonde one is if they don't have enough brain cells in their head to do their job! It's not like she's doing rocket science.  :censored:
