The 0bamaconomy must not be so great.

I dunno why; we were promised it would improve after January 20, 2009, which is now a very long time ago.

Dirty job, but I love it! Pays pretty good too.

Doing routes, you meet lots of people, dogs, cats.

I drive around the SF North Bay Area, alone, nobody breathing down my neck, beautiful views, especially from up on the roofs.

Strangers shake my hand for good luck. I consider myself lucky, that's for sure.

We have a commercial office where the real work goes on, but I mainly work from home unless I'm visiting client offices.

I find time to post, between my computer work of general ledger entries, payroll processing and tax forms.

My husband strongly suspects that I do politics more than I do actual work!

Don't know where he got that idea

....but I do, on my "own" time write letters to media and politicians and make random calls to selected Representative and media, as well as faxing whomever! And yes, I post at DU. I call it a hobby...hubby calls it an obsession. Been obsessed since 2001! Just trying to make a better America for the children!

I was a bar band musician for almost 10 years, and spend some time every day playing guitar and harmonica and collecting songs via the internet.

I am also an avid gun enthusiast and plan to return to hunting this fall avter some years of not due to poor health.

Probably the only honest answer in the whole thread......which wouldn't be to bad if he didn't take his wages out in trade.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

There are some old houses that haven't been knocked down by an earthquake yet.  Maybe they have chimneys.

There's a chimney sweeper that is based a few miles to the west of me (Burnt Hills, Carl, in case you're wondering).  His house is on a semi-major road.  He's got the typical moonbat signs out in front of his house, and his minivan has something written in the back window, all the time.  I think it's "For Lent:  Can't We STOP THE WAR?" now.  If I had a chimney, there would be no way in Hell I'd contract him to do my sweeping.

No wonder she's fat. She takes all of the food from the gift baskets that she puts in motel rooms for conventions. Hell. She probably takes the baskets too and sells em.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Come on! All those scumbucket DUmmies are PoPs? Some of the, like DUmmy Robb and DUmmy old mark, haven't been around much. Is the PoP designation something that, once earned, is never forfeited? And I'm really shocked that not one of these distinguished DUmmies earns an honest living. I especially enjoyed old mark claiming to be a retired psychiatric patient. What we have here is the heart and soul of the democrat party.

It means on the Workers Comp or SS disability gravy train. It's their way of bragging that at one time they had an actual job but they hit the scam lotto and don't have to anymore.

I disremember how the old primitive became a PoP, but the commode-clogging primitive, the "Robb" primitive became one about a year ago, when he admitted, in the Do It Yourself forum, that his most-used household tool was a commode snake, because apparently when the "Robb" primitive sits on the commode, he lets loose with basketball-sized pellets that clog the commode.

A PoP, a Primitive of Prominence, is not necessarily a primitive who hangs around Skins's island a lot, but could be a primitive who has made some comment at some time that was so remarkable one never forgets the primitive.

That's how the sparkling husband primitive became a PoP, when he talked about having to use the bathroom in the basement, because the sparkling husband primitive's wife doesn't like him stinking up the "good" bathroom upstairs.

There are some primitive happenings that stick in the mind as if superglued.
