I outlived Al Haig
« on: February 20, 2010, 11:28:09 AM »
Surgery was thursday. They took an artery from my left arm, a vein from my left leg, and not sure where the third came from, either they split one of the others or they took one from my chest. They say they are sending me home on Monday, so I guess it went pretty well. Feel like i had the crap kicked out of me though. I'll check in in another day or so.

Damn that sounds like they hacked all over you everywhere. How many stitches/staples do you have from all this? I sincerely hope everything goes well and by Monday you are feeling much better. It always makes you improve greatly when you can get home and sleep in your own bed. Best wishes on a speedy recovery from the surgery.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Let nothing frighten you.

God alone suffices.

actually no stitches or staples that i know of. chest is closed up with glue, and they took the veins and arteries laproscopically, so there might be a stitch or two there. the vein was from right leg, not left like i said before. the first hour of consiousness was hell, but about every six hours, I realize that I feel a ton better.

Problems? or do they just want your happy face around for another day to make sure you stay happy?
