Wet Wednesday
« on: February 10, 2010, 07:44:40 AM »
It started snowing about 7pm last night and built up quickly but by this morning, it's turned to rain.  The roads are actually pretty clear -- just wet.  It's supposed to turn back to snow again by noon and the wind really pick up.

Too damn cold outside.  At least there's no ice or snow.

20 degrees this morning with 20 mph winds out of the north. I can't tell if it's lightly snowing or just blowing .  :censored: global warming.

Still snowing.

Under a blizzard warning.

This is getting old.

Zero degrees here, but whether +0 or -0 is subject to debate.

The snow looks nice on TV, but they can keep it.

Sunny and 58 in the forecast today, but I'll be in the office all day and unable to enjoy it.

Hump day before a three day weekend  :-)

Been snowing-from light flurries to heavy - here since about 8:30....the ground is dusted, wind is blowing, it's up to 27 with a chill of 14, roads are wet. Schools are being dismissed. Not too far north of I-40 it's clearing out. We're south. Supposed to pick up more this afternoon.

Clearing off tomorrow, then it's coming back in "two waves" with it supposed to be heavier Sunday/Monday than Friday/Saturday.

I'm not sure they know.

Weather guy is on tv right now...he just said the snow is out of our county....hahaha....guess that white flakey stuff falling outside of my window is dust.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Step mom said the postman got stuck and had to get hauled off on Monday.  Took the mail back with him.  No mail since then.

We won't see him today, either. We have at least another foot. It's blowing so hard, they even pulled the plows off the street because of poor visibility.

We shovel the drive and the walk, but the mail person still cuts through the yard, and wades through the snow.  :mental:

Not anymore, despite the best attempts of American Airlines to keep me in LV at least an extra day by canceling my flights.

I'm amazed that you were able to get a flight back to anywhere near Boston....

Boston wasn't actually that bad, wind notwithstanding.  Apparently the temps didn't drop below freezing until just before I got in, so I had some ice on one side of the car, the plow trucks salted and sanded the roads pretty well, and there was no storm at all by the time I hit the MA/NH border, meaning I got no new snow.  I even managed to get home before the late news last night.

Oh, and celeb sighting, if you want to call Pauly Shore sitting in the row ahead of you "celebrity sighting".
