I found one.  Here's the set-up:
Yuck and terrible.  But, here's the post that stands alone:

I feel like ripping this guy's head off his shoulders.

I'd settle for ripping his arms off, beatin' him about the head and shoulders, then, rippin' his nuts off and feedin' 'em to 'im!

Nothin' drastic, like rippin' his head off! There's nothing but a vacuum in there anyway!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

In a thread about Rick Sanchez the DUmbasses are desperate to distance themselves:

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Sanchez

On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a drunken pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium, then known as Joe Robbie Stadium, and left the scene, returning two hours later.<3> Smuzinick was paralyzed and eventually died in an assisted living facility on November 2, 1995.<1><3> Sanchez had just left an NFL football game with his father when the accident occurred, and a police breathalyzer exam determined that Sanchez' own blood alcohol level was above the legal limit for driving. He was not charged with causing the accident, but was charged with and pleaded no contest to DUI.<3>

When did the world go to hell?

Two possible picks to get the ball rolling...

1914 - Socialism is unable to prevent WWI. The theory that class could be more important than nationality was undone as workers from across Europe took up arms against other workers as expressions of aristocratic will.

1980 - Ronald Reagan elected, ending the progress in all things that made the 1945-1980 period an accelerated leap forward for almost all Americans.
Well, DUmmie, you now have a socialist in the White House, how is that working out?

23. Yep. The culture of this Nation took a nasty shift after it

and has only gotten worse since he revoked the Fairness Doctrine and the media turned into one giant pro-conservative pro-corporate greed propaganda machine. I feel sorry for those who are too young to remember what America was like Pre-Reagan.

I feel sorry for those people , too. They don't know how much Jimmy Carter damaged this country, and don't realize how much worse Obama is making it.

7. If the right-wingers win, they'd self-destruct anyway. They're
doing their best to destroy the middle class, aren't they? Who is doing most of the
productive work? The middle class! They're the goose that's laying the golden eggs.
And the right-wingers are trying to kill the goose. Ergo, no more golden eggs. If
this isn't self-destruct, what is?

This killed a thread.  DUmmie hasn't bothered to get a good look at the Tea Party.  Participants don't arrive in evening gowns and limos.  We ARE the middle class.

6. Did you notice how quickly Williams played the victim card?
He was on BillO's show last night moaning and whining about how unfair NPR is. It's the War On Williams! I heard him being defended (on NPR) by Gingrich, Huckabee, and of course $arah - all of whom work for Fox "News"!

Williams should thank NPR for allowing him to play the familiar right-wing role of poor, pathetic, helpless victim. This seems to be the one thing that all conservatives do and that always works with their base, though I'm not really sure why. What is so appealing about a bunch of squalling crybabies screeching "it's not fair!" like they were schoolchildren at recess?

I will never, ever understand conservatives.

GM is hiring in line workers in Kokomo for $14.00 an hour, half of the normal wage. This is the new reality and there is no point arguing about it or demanding jobs to come back. Between technology and globalism, they are not coming back. For those of us not highly skilled in something brainiac, we're screwed.

NNN is bitching about property taxes.  They're going up, north of $4K.  He's on a fixed income, so it's extra painful.  Someone asks about exemptions/caps for the elderly in his state:

all brought about by true bipartisanship and a fairly weak executive role. They're certainly in much better shape than CA or NY - both of whom seem headed for bailouts by the US-

Since they hate the federal government so much, let's move the Space Center from Houston and relocate all the military bases to blue states that support the Constitution. I'm sure the private side will step right up to provide full employment.
What "blue states" support the military?

10. Low taxation my ass. They get you one way or another, property taxes in TX are twice that of CA.

And toll roads! CA doesn't have toll roads.

And they reassess your home every year in TX so they can gouge you for more taxes if the value increases. Sometimes people are taxed right out of their homes.

In CA your taxes stay the same as when you bought the home and they only reassess when improvements are made.

Even with double the property taxes we are also required to buy a boatload of school supplies for our kids every year. In CA school supplies were provided by the schools.

When I moved to TX from CA I thought it was great that there was no state tax. But I pay more in property taxes here than I would pay for state tax in CA.

To borrow a phrase;  cags your ignorant slut.

If I make $5,000,000/year in CA and live in a $2,000,000 house how much in income/property tax would I pay?

If I make $5,000,000/year in TX and live in a $2,000,000 house much in property tax would I pay?

Now, it doesn't matter what that number is.  Really.  Because I can earn ALL I WANT in Texas and not pay a single dime in state income tax.  I can then choose to live in a hovel and save $$$$.  It is my choice.  Not the states.

Just my take on it though.

2. Going to war is a form of child abuse
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 07:55 AM by Bragi
Seriously, what is a parent of young children thinking when they voluntarily decide to sign up for a job that will take them away on dangerous foreign missions while their families are left behind to spend every day worrying about their absent loved one?

And what are we as a society thinking when we make an effort to target for recruitment people who are parents of young children for service in our unending stream of aggressive occupations and shooting wars?

I don't know what others call it when someone leaves their children to worry every hour of every day about whether their parent will survive the day, but I know what I call it: it's a form of child abuse.

38. Either you forgot your sarcasm thingy or you need a math tudor.
If you are earning a 30-80 thousand dollar annual income and pay a marginal income tax rate of 25%, your $4000.00 monthly mortgage payment to the bank nets you $1000 per month in tax savings....an amount someone has to make up to keep those bombs falling. That bank wouldn't even consider giving you that loan if your income wasn't 3.5 times that $4000/mo payment. I believe most home buyers are buying houses which cost enough to rely on the deduction to justify the loan. If that isn't socialism, I don't know what is.
