From his daughter last night:

Just a update: Dad is doing great! He is in ICU however the surgery went very good. The Dr. said very little blood loss and his vitals stayed great the whole 6 hours of surgery. He is a big trooper and inspiration to me personally! He is in a great deal of pain, but morphine is just a hour away, every hour... I will make sure he stays medicated. He was talking and very alert the last visit from 8-9. Thank you all for the prayers! I know Dad (Sandy) thanks you to. He will soon be home to word it himself.
