Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

The last movie I've seen in the theater was "An American Carol"....

I have not read the entire thread, but after reading the first page it just made me sick.

I served with the United States Marines, worked in military intel via the NIS and also served as a civilian contractor.  My service began under Clinton and ran until Bush.  I was in the heat before the real heat hit in 01.  I aided and worked with special forces and still have long standing close friendships in places all over and some of the closest are from the Philippines that include two congressmen and the under secretary of defense there.

Yet when I hear the swine of this world say they "support the troops" but yet oppose the war... I wish i could spit on them.  Anytime I hear someone say they "support the troops" I like to snap back, "So what have you done for them lately?".  There is a great difference between running a mouth and actually doing something.  Even if its only sitting up late at night talking to them via forums while they are in Iraq and so forth, a comforting word via the internet is better than nothing at all.  Most people cannot even sacrifice a little time for something as simple as that.

Thank you for your service.
I donate time and support locally here in B.F. mid-valley Oregon but I would really appreciate it if you can let me know of ANY means I can use to directly support the troops via on-line. Any means - forums, e-mail, Skype, IRC, Usenet - any means.
PM me if you wish.
Thank you!

A lot of service men tend to hand out in weapons forums such as ar15.com or akfiles.com.  You can see a lot of what they have to say about various things ranging from events down to quality of equipment and so on.  There are other places such as official military forums, it just depends on where you feel comfortable fitting in.

I hang out at marlinowners.com despite not owning one.  I plan on owning several--a Guide Gun, a 1894C, a 336 or two, etc.

I was at a place that Carl knows about--Zack's--maybe an hour-and-a-half ago (as I type this).  He's got some sweeeeet Marlins there.  Three Guide Guns in .450 Marlin, and 2 in .45-70.  A 336 SS, a 1894 SS, and two 336's in .35 Remington.  He's a tad pricey, but that's because he's got a mil in liability insurance to keep paying premiums on.

What were they listed at?

What were they listed at?

Which?  The 336's in .35 Remington were $490.  Can't remember the SS 336 or the SS 1894.  I think the .450 Marlin GGs were $630.  I'll PM you with the others . . .

Reason #5,799 for owning a person tazer: Nutty libs screeching in a movie theatre. Not that I would have been in Avatar.............Still, the fantasy is awesome.
There is no virtue in compulsory government charity, and there is no virtue in advocating it. A politician who portrays himself as caring and sensitive because he wants to expand the government's charitable programs is merely saying that he is willing to do good with other people's money. Well, who isn't? And a voter who takes pride in supporting such programs is telling us that he will do good with his own money— if a gun is held to his head.
